"I'm your mother!" Terrified that Mina would bolt, the woman blurted out the truth. She had waited far too long for this day to let the opportunity slip away.

"What?" Mina froze for a second, then her face contorted in disgust. "You psycho. Say one more crazy thing, and I'll have someone ruin you."

Knowing there were security cameras in the hallway, the woman looked around warily and pointed to a blind spot by the stairs. "Let's talk over there."

"Lunatic." Mina violently yanked her arm free, backing away while unlocking her phone to call for help.
