Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 336

An hour later, Vivienne walked out of the psychiatric building carrying a massive bag of medication.

Mina, who had practically plucked the flowerbed bald while waiting, charged at her the moment she saw her from afar. "What took you so long?"

Vivienne paused in surprise. "Why are you still here?"

In her calculations, Mina shouldn't have been anywhere near this scene.

Mina rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Didn't you notice it's getting dark? We came out together, so there's no reason for me to ditch you."

Vivienne couldn't help but see her in a new light. Knowing the Mina from two years in the future—the one who would readily sell out a friend to save her own skin—she hadn't expected this current version to possess such loyalty.

"What are you staring at? Were you inside buying meds this whole time? Are you hurt?"

Vivienne looked guarded, instantly hiding the bag behind her back. "What's it to you? You're being awfully nice for no reason. Are you plotting something?"

Mina's face darkened instantly. "Who could out-plot you?"

Clutching her bag of pills, Vivienne said, "Let's go. It's too late to head back to school anyway. Let's just go our separate ways."

Mina had originally intended to wait so they could leave together, but her good intentions were thrown back in her face. Her temper flared, and she spun around.

"Who cares about you anyway?"

Halfway down the path, something suddenly clicked in her mind. Mina closed her eyes in sheer defeat, then trudged all the way back.

Vivienne asked, "What now?"

Mina ground out through gritted teeth, "Lend me some money. I don't have enough for a cab."

Vivienne frowned, scanning her from head to toe.

The nurse, who had just dialed the number, immediately handed him the receiver.

Dr. Sherman cleared his throat, adopting his most professional medical persona. "Hello, Mr. Blackthorne. This is Dr. Sherman, senior psychological counselor at Crown Hospital. Ms. Blackthorne came in for a consultation today, and the situation is quite dire. With all due respect, given her current symptoms, at-home care is simply not viable. I personally strongly recommend admitting her to our facility immediately. Early intervention and treatment are crucial to prevent any severe episodes that might harm her family."

"Hey!" The nurse looked bewildered. She hadn't even verified the girl's identity with the Blackthorne family yet. How could Dr. Sherman just spout all that?

Whatever was said on the other end made Dr. Sherman stand at attention, his expression a mix of humility and absolute certainty. "Please rest assured, I guarantee my diagnosis with my ten years of professional experience. Ms. Blackthorne's current condition is highly volatile. If we delay treatment any longer, it might be too late."

"Damn that Vivienne Lexton!"

In her entire life, Mina had never stepped foot on a public transit system like The Metro. Just figuring out the route and the token-exchange process had eaten up half an hour. Fortunately, she had managed to board the train successfully.

Once aboard, Mina maintained a look of sheer disdain, though she couldn't completely hide her curiosity. So this was the legendary commoner transport?
