Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 337

Mina found an empty seat. Looking around to make sure no one was paying attention, she discreetly snapped a selfie and uploaded it to her social media.

The caption read: Peasant transport: The Metro. Check!

The moment it was posted, her phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, Mina's expression shifted.

If she wasn't home by this hour, her grandfather definitely knew she skipped school. She absolutely couldn't mention the hospital. She'd just say Vivienne took her out to hang out.

Mind made up, Mina hit the accept button. "Grandpa."

Edmund Blackthorne's voice came through. "Where are you?"

Mina glanced around. "Just hanging out outside, Grandpa."

Edmund's tone sounded off. "Where outside? Be specific."

Just then, the automated voice on the train blared: "Ding-dong—Dear passengers, we are now arriving at North Loop Station. Please mind the gap when exiting the train. Do not board or disembark when the doors are closing."

Edmund fell completely silent.

Mina jumped, nearly throwing her phone across the carriage.

Edmund asked, "Are you on The Metro?"

Mina let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah, I just got this sudden urge today to see what riding The Metro felt like."

Edmund's eyelid twitched. Was she actually mentally ill?

"You. Get off at the very next stop. I'm sending the butler to pick you up."

Mina was only doing this for the novelty anyway. Hearing that a private car was coming for her, she happily agreed.

Vivienne had hailed a cab right outside the hospital. As the car cruised along the beltway, she spotted that fragile silhouette again under the bridge.

After a moment of hesitation, Vivienne ended the ride early. Clutching the plastic bag, she walked down toward the riverbank.
