Vivienne looked up, and the photo of Kael putting Julian in a chokehold was shoved directly into her face.
Terrified that Julian might lose his mind and actually hit Vivienne, Bianca immediately jumped up and blocked him. "Julian, don't do anything crazy! Just listen to Vivi's excuses first!"
Julian shot Bianca a sideways glare and shoved her right back down by her forehead.
"Fine. Let's hear what kind of nonsense she comes up with." He raised an eyebrow, staring fiercely at Vivienne.
Vivienne remained as calm as an old pro. "What makes you think it was me? Doesn't it literally say 'anonymous'?"
"Heh." Julian hadn't expected the brat's psychological defenses to be this impenetrable. Faced with undeniable guilt, she was still blatantly lying through her teeth.
"Kael doesn't have a sister, which happens to leave me, who has three. Out of all of them, the most treacherous one is you. If it wasn't you, who else could it be?"
Bianca was instantly offended. "Who calls their sister treacherous?"
"Stay out of this," Julian said, rapping his knuckles sharply on the desk. "Apologize right now and delete the post. Otherwise..."
"Otherwise?" Vivienne stood up, completely unbothered by the threat. "Otherwise what? Try me, and see if I don't tell Grandpa to lock you in The Dungeon."
At the mere mention of The Black Room, Julian's face turned completely grim.
Where the hell did this brat even get that information? Out of nowhere, she had discovered that he and Alaric were absolutely terrified of being punished in The Black Room. Now, the second they did something she didn't like, she would sprint to the old man, tattle on them, and specifically demand The Black Room as punishment.
The most infuriating part was that the old man actually indulged her every single time. She never missed a shot. Julian and that idiot Alaric were tortured night after night, pushed to the absolute brink of a monastic breakdown.
Julian narrowed his eyes. "You still dare bring up the old man? If he finds out you've been maliciously spreading rumors about your own brother, do you really think he'll still take your side?"
Vivienne threw her hands up. "Don't just make baseless accusations. The burden of proof is on the accuser. Do you have any actual evidence?"
Julian let out a dark, breathless laugh. Burden of proof? She came completely prepared. No wonder she bothered posting it as 'anonymous' when everyone basically knew it was her anyway. She was waiting for this exact moment.
"So you won't delete it?"
