Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 372

At seven o'clock, the banquet hall was brilliantly lit, filled with beautiful people, laughter, and the rich scent of alcohol.

Guests navigated the glittering social battleground dressed in sharp suits or dripping in jewels.

The Goldbay officials who had been utterly unrestrained in the private suite earlier were now completely different people. Dressed in conservative, serious formal wear, every gesture they made was calculated and rigid.

Eleanor's acting was flawless. Whenever someone approached to offer a toast, she clinked glasses with plain water, putting on an approachable facade and claiming she couldn't handle alcohol.

Victoria sat in an exclusive VIP room, backed by a massive wall of monitors. Every word and action of everyone in the hall was under her surveillance.

"Has Father Lawrence arrived?"

She held a glass of champagne, her eyes sweeping over every detail on the screens with a look of deep satisfaction.

Her assistant immediately checked his phone. "Father Lawrence reached the hotel half an hour ago. His aide said he had a congregation meeting before the gala and might be thirty minutes late."

A congregation meeting in a hotel?

Truly hands-on guidance.

Victoria scoffed, swirling her champagne. "What about Mr. Beaufort?"

"Mr. Beaufort is ready and will attend on time."

Victoria's fingers paused, the light in her eyes darkening. "And that bastard? Where is he?"

The assistant's expression shifted slightly. "I confirmed with Mr. Cyril five minutes ago. He should be arriving shortly."

Hearing this, Victoria shot the assistant a meaningful look. "Is everything ready?"

Vivienne stood at the entrance of the banquet hall, peering inside. She wore a simple white evening gown. Because of the injury on her forehead, she hadn't put on any makeup. Fortunately, her striking features carried the elegant dress effortlessly, even bare-faced.

Cyril handed over his invitation, turning to look at her. "Come here. We'll go in together."

The young man was dressed in an impeccably tailored suit that accentuated his broad shoulders and narrow waist. Even from the back, he drew the stares of guests waiting to enter.

Vivienne obediently stepped up beside him. She had already surveyed the area. The security here was much tighter than at previous galas they'd attended. Judging from the guards' piercing gazes and commanding presence, she guessed they were professional bodyguards, not regular hotel staff.

"I'm sorry, sir. Your invitation is only valid for one person. According to the rules, only you may enter."

The beautiful hostess repeatedly checked Cyril's identity before directly blocking Vivienne and Lennox.

Before Cyril could speak, Vivienne struck first. "Cyril Bean, how about this: give me your invitation, and I'll go in first. Victoria will definitely hate the idea of you out here having a good time while she's trying to find fault with you."
