Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 371

"You're protecting me?" Cyril asked.

For the past three years, whenever someone bullied him, she always rushed in to add a swift kick of her own. Now, she was suddenly turning around and claiming she wanted to protect him?

Who would believe that?

Cyril lifted his gaze and brushed a finger against her forehead. "Did you really hit your head hard enough to make you stupid?"

"Ouch!" Vivienne gasped, her reflexes kicking in as she immediately chopped a hand toward his arm.

Cyril's reflexes were razor-sharp. He pulled back slightly, letting her strike land harmlessly into his palm.

He chuckled, his fingers lightly curling around her hand. "I'll take you, but no hitting."

The Goldbay gala officially started at seven.

The drive from Stormhollow to Goldbay took roughly two hours, plus time needed for dressing up. So, as soon as the redness and swelling on Vivienne's forehead faded slightly, Cyril took her away from the campus.

Lennox had known the itinerary since morning and waited in the car as planned. Seeing an extra passenger—and specifically this high-maintenance girl—gave him such a start that he completely forgot the basic etiquette of opening the door for them.

Cyril handled it himself. Only after Vivienne climbed in did he nonchalantly explain the situation to Lennox. "She's coming with us."

Lennox hesitated. "Mr. Cyril, Goldbay is in Merriton City, and it's still school hours. Shouldn't we report this to your grandfather?"

Everyone in the Ravenshire family knew this girl was Caspian's absolute favorite. If she suffered even a scratch, the entire entourage would pay dearly.

"I've already told Grandpa," Cyril replied.

At that moment, Vivienne poked her head out the window. "What's taking so long?"

"Nothing. I'll keep an eye on her." Cyril patted Lennox's shoulder, walked around the back of the car, and slid into the opposite seat.

Lennox finally breathed a sigh of relief and snapped back into professional mode.

The vehicle departed from the academy, immediately jumping onto the highway out of the city. Under the bright autumn sun, the outside world was a stark contrast to campus life, bustling with urban prosperity and noise.

Vivienne stared through the tinted glass at the concrete jungle. In her past life, before turning eighteen, almost all her memories were confined to school. Everything about Stormhollow felt unfamiliar.

Catching the curiosity in her eyes, Lennox smiled. "Miss Lexton, you haven't been to Goldbay before, have you?"

Vivienne shook her head. Then, a thought struck her, and she turned to Cyril. "I recall you're from Merriton City, right? Stormhollow is also in the Merriton area. Is it close to your home?"

Cyril hadn't expected the sudden question. He nodded. "Yes, very close."

Vivienne turned back, deep in thought. In her past life, Cyril had made a forceful return from abroad a year after Caspian passed away, choosing to enter politics right in Merriton City. Within three short years, he rose to the position of Merriton's governor. It seemed none of that was a mere coincidence.
