Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 374

The moment Vivienne stepped into the banquet hall, her eyes were drawn to the massive screen on the stage.

It really was a charity gala. The crystal display continuously scrolled through names of corporate executives and chairmen who had donated hundreds of thousands to Goldbay's educational sector.

An endless list of charities was featured, but the most eye-catching was the Heavenly Grace Educational Charity Foundation, leading the pack by miles with a staggering fifty million dollar donation.

Behind the donor wall hung a massive poster displaying dramatic before-and-after photos of students sponsored in Stormhollow over the past five years, alongside metrics on local teacher training improvements.

The guests were either impeccably suave or gracefully refined. Amidst the clinking glasses, conversations constantly revolved around praising Goldbay's leaders or discussing future strategic plans.

High society at its peak.

Vivienne craned her neck, looking around like a child who had wandered into an adult jungle, fascinated by everything.

"Why did Victoria invite you to a geezer convention like this?"

Cyril remained silent. How did she manage to be so acerbic without even pretending to be polite?

Victoria trailed them into the hall. Her gaze swept between the two before she arched a brow, signaling Moira.

Catching the hint, Moira approached Vivienne with a warm smile. "Miss Lexton, the juices and pastries are over there. Shall I show you the way?"

Victoria took the opportunity to pat Cyril's shoulder. "Cyril, perfect timing. Your father's old friends are seated over there. Come say hello."

Vivienne's eyes darted around. She grabbed Moira's arm. "Where did you say the juice was?"

Moira quickly led the way. "Right this way."

Victoria steered Cyril toward the VIP seating area.

"Governor Yates."

Eleanor was leaning over, talking to her secretary. Hearing Victoria's voice, she looked up and was instantly struck by the young man's looks.

Utterly exquisite features with an undeniably aristocratic bone structure.

A second later, a soft palm covered his fingers. Before he could react, the wine glass was snatched from his hand.

Before Cyril could process what happened, a glass of orange juice was shoved into his palm.

"How many times do I have to tell you? Boys need to protect themselves when they're out. Why won't you ever listen?"

Cyril stared at the orange juice for three full seconds before slowly raising his eyes.

Vivienne held her own strawberry juice in one hand and his red wine in the other. She wasn't looking at him; her bright, smiling eyes were fixed entirely on Eleanor.

Victoria hadn't even registered where she'd popped out from and snapped a furious glare at Moira.

This was Goldbay. Eleanor had never encountered anyone daring enough to act this brazen in her territory. But as a seasoned politician, she wasn't about to lose her temper over something so trivial.

Eleanor smiled, shooting Victoria a glance. "And who is this?"
