Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 380

Just as Cyril stepped onto the landing, two massive figures lunged from the shadows. One clamped a hand over his mouth, the other pinned his arms. After a brief struggle, the young man lost consciousness.

Moira stepped forward, looking down at his breathtaking face.

Such a pity he was born to the wrong mother.

"Take him away. Be careful, don't mess this up."

Goldbay bordered Merriton City, the largest trade port in Athelvia.

Under the cover of night, the calm river reflected the shattered moon.

At the docks, a massive cruise ship loomed. The nearly twelve-hundred-foot vessel bore the golden emblem of a six-winged crown. It was a symbol of absolute authority; even if this ship sailed into pirate-infested waters, no one would dare provoke it.

Half of the ship's two thousand cabins were brightly lit. White curtains fluttered gently as the moonlight poured in.

Cyril's face was half-buried in a plush mattress. The faint, seductive strains of a song echoed from somewhere deep within the ship.

His eyelids fluttered, and he slowly opened his eyes.

Unfamiliar surroundings met his gaze. Seeing the massive, endlessly opulent suite, he knew Victoria had successfully sold him off.

But if Victoria knew that her meticulously crafted trap was actually just another step in his own revenge plot, how would she react?

Three years ago, Cyril had intentionally leaked the secret of the Whitmore family and File 49 to Dorian. Knowing Dorian's greed, he was certain the man would investigate it behind Caspian's back.

Sure enough, Dorian took the bait. He not only dug into the Montclair family's secrets but also used Ethan's email to contact 'Mr. Beaufort'.

But what neither of them knew was that Cyril had hacked and monitored that email address from the very beginning. Cyril had read every single message exchanged between Dorian and Balthazar for the past three years.

So, before he even arrived at the gala, Cyril knew exactly who the real threat was. Eleanor was nothing more than an appetizer Victoria threw in to disgust him and make him lower his guard.

Evidence this crucial would definitely be kept on Balthazar's person. To make his plan flawless, Cyril decided to use himself as bait, risking his life to infiltrate the ship and steal the files.

To guarantee an exit strategy, he had intentionally dragged Vivienne along. With her here, Caspian would monitor Goldbay relentlessly. They would notice his disappearance immediately. As long as the ship hadn't reached international waters, one night was more than enough time for the Ravenshire family to find him.

Cyril waited a moment, ensuring the room was empty before pressing a hand to his throbbing head and sitting up. He tried to stand, but the residual effects of the sedative sent him crashing back onto the mattress.

He closed his eyes, his hand curling into a loose fist. Suddenly, his fingers brushed against something warm.

Cyril's eyes snapped open, and he whipped his head to the side.

In the dim light, the girl was fast asleep, her lips stained a tempting, glossy red from strawberry juice.
