Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 383

"The Lucifer I?" For the first time, a trace of pure, murderous intent bled into Caspian's expression. "So, the Beaufort family is behind the kidnapping of Vivi and Cyril?"

Jasper nodded grimly. "Based on the current intel, yes."

Caspian considered this for only a fraction of a second before slowly standing up. "Cedric, contact the naval fleet at Merriton. I want the inner sea completely blockaded."

Dorian looked horrified. "Dad, locking down the entire inner sea without an official cause... isn't that a massive overreach?"

Merriton Port was Athelvia's largest trade hub. The number of commercial freighters and luxury liners that passed through daily was staggering. A sudden, unprovoked military blockade could spark a major diplomatic incident.

Caspian's tone left absolutely no room for debate. "If I don't lock down the ocean, am I supposed to just sit back and watch my grandchildren get shipped off by kidnappers?"

Dorian quickly backpedaled. "Dad, I didn't mean it like that. Cyril is my son—of course I'm worried about him. But Benedict just said the kidnappers might still be in Goldbay, and now Jasper is saying they're on a Beaufort ship. Shouldn't we verify the facts before making such a drastic move?"

Jasper remained entirely expressionless. "The facts are verified. Before Miss Lexton disappeared, she specifically asked me for a stealth tracker. The coordinates are locked exactly on Merriton Port."

Victoria nearly died of fright. In her sheer panic, she blurted out, "What... what stealth tracker?"

Jasper glanced at her. "It's the latest technology developed by our labs. It doesn't require surgical implantation. It uses a specialized adhesive to bond to the skin, making it virtually undetectable to the naked eye. No matter how advanced the scanning equipment is, it won't pick up a signal."

Victoria's mind spun. Who cares about the technical details?! Her composure was hanging by a literal thread. "Are you telling me Vivi has had a live tracker on her this entire time?"

Jasper gave a single nod.

Dorian finally grasped the reality of the situation, but his mind instantly snagged on the glaring inconsistencies. "If she had a tracker on her, why didn't you go after her the second she went offline? Why let them drag her all the way to the southern sea?"

Because this involved a direct clash between two ruling families, deploying the official military was a diplomatic minefield. The Beauforts held absolute power in Solenforth. To prevent a catastrophic international fallout, this had to be handled in the shadows.

Alaric stepped forward, dipping his chin slightly. "Grandpa, I'm going with him."

Before Caspian could even reply, Julian stepped up right beside him. "Grandpa, I want to go too."

Dorian saw his chance and immediately intervened. "Dad, Alaric and Julian are too young for an extraction mission. I have deep ties with the Merriton naval fleet. Let me handle this."

Caspian waved him off with a look of utter disdain. "It is exactly because they are young that they need to experience the fire. Alaric, Julian—you two are going. Bring Cyril and Vivi home."

"Yes, sir," Alaric and Julian answered in perfect unison, bowing deeply.
