Bianca laughed. "So you're scared now? If you knew it was showing off, why did you carry it?"
Vivienne looked mystical. "Heavy wealth suppresses disaster. I just have a feeling today won't be peaceful."
Bianca bought into it easily. "Alright, carry it then."
The two walked out of the academic building, chatting and laughing.
As soon as they reached the sports field, Bianca grabbed Vivienne's arm and pointed at a group of boys and girls in the distance. "Isn't that Lara Arlington? What is she doing pulling Aurelia Ravenshire?"
Before Vivienne could say let's go check it out, Bianca dragged her toward the crowd without another word.
The photography crew was setting up a scene on the field. They needed some students in the frame to capture the extracurricular vibe. Since Crestline Academy was quite exclusive, hiring regular extras wasn't ideal. The directors initially planned to have crew members wear uniforms for wide shots, but Lara felt it wouldn't look right and had Preston Everhart call over some people to help.
After Evelyn left yesterday, Lara had grown increasingly anxious and sneaked over to the sixth floor of the arts building.
Preston was playing games at the time and largely ignored her. Lara gritted her teeth, proactively stripped off her clothes, and straddled his lap.
Since she was being so compliant, Preston enjoyed himself and didn't mind helping her out with minor things.
The students on the field were almost entirely from the sophomore elite class. None of them minded being called over by Preston to bask in the sun; they stood exactly where the directors told them to.
The only reason Aurelia was here was because Lara had invited her.
Knowing that Aurelia left early every Wednesday afternoon, Lara deliberately sent her a text message telling her to come over at this specific time.
"Lia," Lara said, "I'm thirsty. Can you go buy me an iced water?"
Aurelia looked at the three assistants standing behind her, her expression cold. "You called me over just to buy water?"
Lara smiled, stepping closer to whisper, "That's right, I just love trampling all over you! Who told you to be such a worthless little tramp?"
Aurelia turned to look at her, her eyes clouded with gray emotion.
