Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 428

"Don't worry, Uncle Benedict knows what he's doing."

Julian watched Lara being dragged away. After thinking for a moment, he pulled Vivienne's hand off. "No, I can't just stand by and do nothing."

To be fair, Evelyn had always treated him well. Even though he looked down on his aunt and his cousin, he couldn't just watch Lara get killed.

As soon as Julian took a step, Benedict pointed his gun at him. "Julian, it's best you stay out of this."

Before Julian could react, Vivienne chopped Benedict's hand down with her bare hand. "Uncle Benedict, Grandpa said the Ravenshire family never points guns at their own."

Benedict was stunned. While he was furious, he hadn't lost his mind. As the formidable Mr. Ravenshire, he obviously knew what he was doing; pointing a gun at Julian was just to scare him. But he never expected Vivienne to be this feral, literally karate-chopping a gun down.

How was he supposed to intimidate anyone now?

Worried that Benedict would take his anger out on them, Bianca spread her arms and shielded Vivienne. "Uncle Benedict, what are you doing? Julian and Vivi didn't do anything wrong."

Vivienne turned to Alaric, who had been completely silent. "What are you just standing there for? Say something."

Alaric spoke mildly. "Uncle Benedict, Grandpa said that once you've let out your anger, you should come back."

Benedict couldn't find it in himself to blow up at the younger generation. He turned around and tossed the pistol to his assistant.

By this time, Lara had been forced onto a helicopter. The helicopter hovered and ascended. When it was about thirty feet off the ground, Lara was shoved out of the chopper.

Lara let out a bloodcurdling scream.

Just as Vivienne had said, Benedict knew exactly what he was doing. He only wanted to teach Lara a severe lesson; he never actually intended to kill her.

Lara plunged into the air, the rope snapping taut, leaving her dangling high above the ground.
