Right after Benedict hung up the phone, Evelyn and Charles rushed to the school with their men.

When they saw their precious daughter dangling from a helicopter, it felt as if their whole world had collapsed.

Charles looked at the dense crowd of armed men in black, his face grave. "Let's head back to the Obsidian Estate first."

Evelyn nodded. Her gaze swept over the crowd on the field, pausing on Julian. Her expression was a mix of complicated feelings and bitter disappointment.

She thought she had treated her nephew well, but she never expected him to stand by and watch his cousin get humiliated.

Julianne was so terrified by Benedict's brutal methods that she didn't dare say a word the entire time, terrified the Ravenshires would remember she was the one who started it.
