Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 46

Meanwhile, Vivienne left Echostone House and went straight back to Vellmont Lodge.

Within the Obsidian Estate, the nine residences were all situated near one another. As she turned into the inner courtyard, she saw a group of people heading toward Blackbriar Wing. Only then did Vivienne remember that, according to the plot, Cyril was supposed to be moved into Blackbriar Wing by their grandfather.

Just as she was thinking this, a familiar figure appeared around the corner of the gatehouse. It was Isabella, holding a food container as she followed the group.

Vivienne’s eyes narrowed slightly. After a moment's thought, she decided to follow them as well.

Blackbriar Wing had been unoccupied for a long time. Although it was regularly cleaned, it lacked a lived-in feel. Now that Cyril was moving in, their grandfather had ordered a complete overhaul, inside and out. Even the flowers and plants in the courtyard were already half-trimmed.

Cyril stood in the courtyard, looking down at the clipped branches on the ground, his gentle, cool eyes lost in thought.

“Cyril.”

A sweet voice pulled him from his reverie. The young man lowered his gaze and turned his head. As his eyes shifted, they sparkled like a sun-drenched, glittering bay.

Isabella immediately blushed and mustered the courage to step forward. “Hi, Cyril. My name is Isabella. I’m also Grandpa’s granddaughter. My mother and I live right next door in Vellmont Lodge. I heard you were moving in today, so my mom specially prepared some homemade treats. I hope you like them.”

Compared to the girl’s nervousness, Cyril was much more composed. A smile touched his lips, a gentle warmth that outshone the spring breeze. “Thank you. Please give my regards to your mother as well.”

Isabella’s eyes practically sparkled. Completely captivated, she eagerly presented the food container. “Don’t be a stranger, Cyril. We’re neighbors now, so we should look out for each other.”

Vivienne just smiled. Isabella’s same old long-suffering act was so predictable it wasn't even fun to provoke. She had initially thought Isabella was clinging to Cyril to curry favor with Serena, but now it seemed she was the one throwing herself at him.

To prevent Vivienne from spouting more nonsense, Isabella deliberately put on a deeply wronged expression. “Cyril, I’m going to head back now. I’ll come visit you another time.” Without waiting for his reply, she covered her face and ran off.

Cyril had no interest in childish squabbles. He glanced at Vivienne with a nod and turned to walk back under the veranda. His tall, slender figure moved with an effortless, aristocratic elegance.

Vivienne stood where she was, quietly watching him disappear into the golden, shimmering light.
