Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 47

It was nearly evening when Vivienne finally ambled back to Vellmont Lodge. She ran into Marissa right outside the courtyard gate.

Marissa approached her. “Miss Lexton, Mr. Ravenshire sent me to ask what preparations you’ll need for your trip to Alderwick.”

Preparations?

Her grandfather was thinking along the same lines as her. It was indeed time to prepare—by clearing some people out.

Originally, she had planned to quietly observe what connection Serena had with the second branch of the family. But now that she was leaving for Alderwick, she couldn’t leave a hidden danger like Serena behind.

Vivienne pondered for a moment. “Come with me.”

In the main hall, Serena was sitting on the sofa, holding her head. Isabella had been sniffling ever since she got back, occasionally sobbing while stealing glances at Serena’s face.

A moment later, one of the housekeepers came in from outside. “Ma’am, Miss Lexton is back, but…”

When Isabella returned, she had secretly told Serena about how Vivienne had provoked Cyril. Serena had decided to teach Vivienne a lesson about her rotten temper before she left for Alderwick, so she feigned a cold tone. “But what? All she does is cause trouble all day. Tell her to stay in her room. I don’t want to see her right now.”

The housekeeper looked awkward. “Miss Lexton didn’t ask to see you. She went to her room, but she brought someone with her.”

Serena froze, not quite processing. “Brought who?”

Isabella suddenly remembered something and gasped, “Mom, we can’t let anyone see what’s in her room…”

“Be quiet!” Serena’s expression shifted. After a moment of thought, she stood up and left the main hall.

Vivienne simply ignored her, maneuvering the snake in the game on her phone back and forth.

Serena was infuriated by her attitude. The old Vivienne wouldn’t have dared to play a game in her presence, let alone sit while talking to her. Losing her composure, Serena lunged forward and snatched the phone. “Say something! Didn’t I explain it to you face-to-face when you came back from Northwing Court?”

“Oh, that day?” Vivienne thought for a moment, then casually took her phone back. “So, your explanation was to ask for forgiveness instead of permission? Taking without asking?”

Serena was speechless, momentarily unsure of what to say. The girl had the same face, the same eyes, yet suddenly she seemed like a complete stranger.

Vivienne turned to Marissa. “Marissa, please tell my grandfather that my home has been looted. I demand that the thief in this house be expelled.”
