Julianne had never been so speechless in her life. She turned to Bernard. "How long has he been like this?"

"Probably since that tennis match over the summer," Bernard said. "He was harassing a girl on the court, and Vivienne smacked him in the head with her racket. I think she knocked a few screws loose."

"You two don't know shit!" Harrison patched up his drawing until it formed a colossal heart, looking incredibly smug. "I'm a devoted romantic."

Julianne's eye twitched. "Harrison, did you forget how she played you? You almost broke your leg because of her."

Harrison stroked his chin. "I thought about it later, and it wasn't entirely her fault. I was acting like a total jerk back then."

He actually knew how to self-reflect? Julianne's tone grew cold. "Harrison, Vivienne isn't easily fooled. You don't honestly think a love letter will work, do you?"

"I know." Harrison pulled a leather briefcase from his drawer and flipped it open. "That's why I'm planning to write three hundred and sixty-five of them."

Julianne's lips twitched. Apparently, when a person was truly pushed past the brink of absurdity, all they could do was laugh.

Harrison remained enthusiastic. "Look, I know you two have some friction, but you really need to change your attitude. Stop fighting with Vivienne all the time."

Julianne stood up to leave.

Harrison grabbed her arm. "Don't go. I was just looking for you. Why don't you help me out? I promise, if this works, I'll talk some sense into her and make sure you two get along."

"You talk sense into her?" Julianne had never felt so painfully rational. "Harrison, just drop it. With the way you are, Vivienne will chew you up and spit you out."

"Hey! What kind of talk is that? Are you looking down on true romance?"
