Since when did Preston ever try to coax a girl like that? Kael shot him a deeply confused look.
Vivienne was just about to reject the offer when Mina violently jerked free from her grip and practically scrambled on all fours straight into the back seat of Preston's car.
Mina slammed the door shut, pressed her face against the window, and waved dramatically at Vivienne. "Let me enjoy my final ride in the lap of luxury! Farewell, my loyal friend!"
Vivienne pinched the bridge of her nose.
How could anyone be this spectacularly unhinged when they were drunk?
"Hey! You there, hurry up and get in... aren't you going to drive?!" Mina was completely incoherent, slurring her demands from the back seat.
Preston gave her one icy look before tossing his keys to Kael. "You take her home."
"You got it."
Kael was just about to open the driver's door when he suddenly felt a tight grip on his collar.
Vivienne yanked hard on the hood of his sweatshirt. "You have terrible morals. You're not driving her anywhere."
Kael offered a stiff, fake smile. "Excuse me? What's wrong with my morals?"
Vivienne didn't even bother arguing. She turned to Josslyn. "You take her. I just sent that picture of you bullying Mina straight to my family group chat. If she so much as gets a scratch on her way home, Elder Blackthorne is going to make sure your entire bloodline pays the price."
Josslyn let out a bitter, disbelieving laugh and nodded. "Fine! Guess it's just my lucky day!" He snatched the keys right out of Kael's hand.
Seeing Josslyn climb into the front seat, Mina started screaming at the top of her lungs. "I don't want this ugly toad! I want Cyril!"
Josslyn scoffed. He slapped a hand over her forehead and practically shoved her back into the seat. "Sit still and shut up! It's your last luxury ride anyway. What difference does it make who drives?"
Mina refused to accept defeat. She bolted upright and tried to shove her head out the window to protest, but Josslyn instantly hit the power switch. The glass rolled up, pinning her face against the pane until her features were hilariously squished from the outside.
