Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 50

Besides Serena herself, no one else in the room could feel the “love” she spoke of.

The warmth in Caspian’s eyes faded considerably. “If that’s the case, then I can’t blame you. It was my oversight.”

Thinking her show of weakness was working, Serena let her tears flow more freely. “Mr. Ravenshire, you don’t know. Vivienne is a good kid in every way, except for her stubbornness. If anything displeases her in the slightest, she acts out without a care in the world. Before the end of this semester, her homeroom teacher even called me to complain. She said Vivienne doesn’t pay attention in class, is unfriendly to her classmates, and gets into conflicts easily, hoping I could provide some guidance. Mr. Ravenshire, I’m truly at my wit’s end with her.”

Caspian’s face remained impassive. “Is that so?”

Serena nodded and sighed softly. “Yes. She was last in her entire grade on the last exam. The teacher said her scores don’t meet the standard for promotion, so she might have to repeat the year.”

“Outrageous!” Caspian snapped.

Isabella’s face lit up with glee. She shot a smug look at Vivienne. You idiot, the truth is out now, isn’t it? Let’s see if Grandpa still helps you.

Caspian turned to Cedric. “Is Vivienne enrolled at Crestline Academy?”

Cedric nodded. “Yes.”

Caspian commanded, “Tell the family office that the thirty million dollars approved for Crestline Academy this year should be put on hold. I entrusted them with my granddaughter’s future, and this is how they treat her?!”

Serena’s entire demeanor collapsed. She looked utterly stunned.

Caspian continued instructing Cedric, “Have the school replace her teacher next semester. If they still can’t teach my granddaughter properly, we’ll switch schools.” He then turned to the dumbfounded Serena. “It was my oversight. Since you’ve expressed your difficulties, you will no longer be involved in Vivienne’s education.”

“Mr. Ravenshire!” Serena shot to her feet, unable to process what was happening. “What do you mean?”

Caspian said, “I originally thought that as Vivienne’s mother, you would be a positive influence on her development. But since you are incapable of raising her properly, you no longer need to concern yourself with her affairs.”

A tremor ran through Vivienne’s fingers as she instinctively caught hold of Caspian’s sleeve, anchoring herself to the only man who stood by her.

This was the feeling. Even if the whole world condemned her, her grandfather would stand firmly by her side. How could she have been so foolish to have lost such a wonderful grandfather?

Caspian continued, “This house has become a mess. It’s time to clean it up. Cedric, tomorrow, arrange for a few efficient people to clean Vellmont Lodge from top to bottom. During that time, the lodge won’t be suitable for living. Make arrangements for Serena to stay at the house by the bay for a few days. She can come back when Vellmont Lodge is clean.”

“Yes, Mr. Ravenshire,” Cedric replied.

He was kicking them out.

Serena finally broke down, looking at Vivienne in a panic. She suddenly realized what a colossal mistake she had made.

Inviting her grandfather here was the wrong move. He didn’t pass judgment; he just took sides.
