Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 49

The tense standoff made the empty Whitestone Lodge feel exceptionally quiet, the silence punctuated by the game.

Putting on an act.

Isabella glared coldly at Vivienne.

The trip from Northwing Court to Vellmont Lodge took about twenty minutes for a quick round trip. After standing for a while, Serena’s legs began to feel sore. She suddenly realized something and looked around the room with a subtle change in expression. This was bad! They had moved too much. There wasn’t even a place for her grandfather to sit when he arrived.

Serena frowned at Vivienne. Had the little brat planned this too? The more Serena thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. Just as she was debating whether to move to another location, the sound of footsteps echoed from outside.

A moment later, several bodyguards in black suits walked in, carrying two rosewood armchairs.

He’s here already?!

Serena’s expression shifted. She immediately composed herself, and Isabella deliberately fixed her hair and straightened her back.

Leaning on his cane and supported by Cedric, Caspian slowly walked in.

At that moment, she had finished the game. Vivienne turned off her phone, stood up, and went to greet him with a smile. “Grandpa.”

“My dear.” Caspian gently patted her hand, his gaze sweeping casually around the room.

Serena secretly studied Caspian, but his eyes betrayed no emotion, so she carefully reined in her thoughts. “Mr. Ravenshire.”

Not wanting to be upstaged by Vivienne, Isabella stepped forward and called out sweetly, “Grandpa.”

Caspian nodded, gesturing to one of the armchairs with a gentle expression. “Serena, please, sit.”

Caspian looked at Vivienne, his face still unreadable. “Is that so?”

Vivienne nodded. “Yes, it is.”

Isabella was stunned. Is she an idiot? Not even pretending in front of Grandpa.

Caspian patted Vivienne’s hand reassuringly, then his gaze returned to Serena. “Serena, you emptied Vivienne’s room. Isabella isn't heartbroken anymore, but have you thought about Vivienne?”

Serena immediately realized she had misspoken and quickly explained, “That’s not it! Mr. Ravenshire, they are both my children. How could I not care? It’s just that Vivienne has been causing so much trouble lately, and she got Bianca hurt. I thought a little discipline might help her see her mistakes. I wasn’t intentionally neglecting her. Mr. Ravenshire, it’s tough love. What mother doesn’t love her own child?”
