[O-Hey!: Warning! You haven't come to visit the patient in two days, five hours, and thirty-three minutes!!!]
The three exclamation marks at the end served as Bianca Whitmore's final ultimatum.
Left with no choice, Vivienne asked Marissa to pack a steamer of dumplings and headed to the hospital for a visit.
Bianca's ward was on the top-floor VIP level. To ensure her safety, Benedict Ravenshire had deployed an entire division of his men to secure the floor.
Vivienne was a familiar face, so she enjoyed unimpeded access the moment the elevator doors opened.
However, some people weren't treated nearly as well.
Damien Whitmore, red in the face with fury, pointed a finger at the guards. “On what grounds are you stopping me? Do I need the Ravenshire family's permission just to see my own daughter? Where is Talia Ravenshire? Tell her to come see me!”
Standing in the lobby, Vivienne watched as Damien was forcefully escorted onto the elevator by the Obsidian Estate bodyguards.
If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she never would have believed that this gaunt, hollow-cheeked, unhinged man was Damien Whitmore.
In her past life, Damien had successfully used Bianca to keep Talia in check while keeping a mistress on the side, living the absolute high life.
It seemed having his legs broken and Bianca turning against him had dealt Damien a much heavier blow than she thought.
“Miss Lexton, right this way.”
Vivienne quickly adjusted her mood and walked briskly toward the ward.
When she pushed the door open, Bianca was scrolling through her phone out of sheer boredom, looking utterly displeased. “You're so heartless. You didn't even reply to my messages.”
“Hmm, who's talking behind my back? Fine, fine, I'll just take these freshly steamed dumplings back with me.”
