Theron secretly observed the silhouette in the room through the crack in the bedroom door. Edmund kicked Theron, gesturing for him to follow.
The two of them walked into the Tea Room one after the other.
Theron carefully observed Edmund's expression, hesitating for a moment before speaking in a low voice. "Grandfather, Mina is still young and immature. Please don't hold this against her."
Edmund tapped the armchair in front of him. "Sit."
Theron obediently sat down and continued to speak up for Mina. "Mina might have some unspoken difficulties. We should clarify things before dealing with it, so we don't create any misunderstandings."
Edmund scoffed. "Unspoken difficulties? What kind of difficulties could possibly make her steal money from the family?"
Theron was caught in a dilemma and couldn't find a response for a moment.
If the family's financial manager hadn't called to remind them that the accounts were suddenly short ten million dollars, they never would have believed that Mina had sneaked into the study and transferred the funds without permission.
"I told you from the start that she must have made some shady friends outside, but you just wouldn't listen! Now look, she even dared to target her own home. Investigate! I want to see exactly who led my granddaughter astray!"

The next day.
The biting wind blew, and the campus of Elite Talent Academy had grown much colder and quieter.
Isolde wrapped her thin jacket tighter around herself and jogged all the way. She had stayed up thinking all night and missed the earliest bus in the morning. By the time she hurried to school, she was already late.
Just as she passed The Wisteria Trellis, a group of girls suddenly appeared and blocked her path.
Isolde's expression shifted slightly as she took a step back. "What do you want?"
The lead girl smiled. "Don't be nervous. We just want to have a nice chat with you."
Isolde shook her head. "I don't have anything to talk about."
"Don't push your luck when we're giving you face!"
