Vivienne frowned. "No, it's too dirty."
While she didn't want to side with Cyril, Bianca's suggestion was clearly brainless, and she wasn't going to follow blindly.
Cyril said, "The mud in that area is obviously different from the rest. It's been recently disturbed. It's best not to go over there."
"What do you know? Mud pits have the most shrimp," Bianca retorted, refusing to listen. She stubbornly waded toward the mud pit.
Seeing that he couldn't persuade her, Cyril didn't press the issue. He turned and headed upstream toward the dense reeds. Vivienne looked between them, followed neither, and found a large tree to sit under for shade.
She wouldn't take a side, wouldn't agree, and wouldn't refuse. If Cyril caught fish, she'd eat fish. If Bianca caught shrimp, she'd eat shrimp. She was simply playing the observer.
Before they had even begun, the three had gone their separate ways due to their disagreement.
Lying on the deck, their grandfather saw everything but didn't intervene. He glanced over before closing his eyes again to rest.
"Aah!" Suddenly, Bianca let out a piercing scream.
Vivienne's ears rang, and she quickly sat up.
"It's a huge shrimp! I felt it! It's thicker than my leg!" Bianca had already thrown the net aside and was excitedly fumbling around in the mud. "Vivienne, come quick! This shrimp is huge! I can't pull it out by myself!"
Vivienne stood up, rolled up her pant legs, and was about to help when a fishing rod blocked her path.
Cyril said, "Since when are there shrimp in a mud pit thicker than a turnip?"
Vivienne glanced at Bianca's legs and fell silent. *Wow, is he always this vicious?*
"Vivienne! Hurry up! It's really huge! If we catch it, I'll give you half the credit!" Bianca's face was smeared with mud as she yelled excitedly at Vivienne.
"Why shou—"
Vivienne quickly cut Bianca off, grabbing the fishing line. "Just tie it."
Bianca grumbled, "How dare you order me around?"
Though her mouth was still running, her actions betrayed her. Bianca took the line, wrapped it around the creature several times, tied two tight knots, and then announced haughtily, "Okay, pull."
Cyril lifted the rod, his expression shifting slightly. It was that heavy?
Seeing this, Bianca put her hands on her hips. "Cyril, did you forget to eat? You're so weak... splat!"
Before she could finish, Cyril yanked the rod hard. With a loud *schlop*, a giant lobster erupted from the mud pit, splattering a mouthful of mud right onto Bianca's face.
