Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 580

Alaric looked up and shot Wesley a flat stare.

Wesley pretended not to notice and smoothly transitioned. "And then there's Julianne Whitmore. Sure, she and Ms. Lexton don't get along, but before this, it was just verbal sparring. Recently, though, Ms. Lexton skipped the arguments and went straight to throwing hands. She's incredibly lazy, yet she physically beat someone up herself. Suspicious! Highly suspicious."

Alaric gave a noncommittal response.

The second he saw Vivienne walk into that cafe, he knew Julianne was getting set up.

What kind of teenage girl brings two guns and a backpack full of ammo to grab a coffee?

And he just let her get away with it?

Wesley looked Alaric up and down. Sure enough, the young master who had been sheltered in the mountains was easy to manipulate. All a pretty girl had to do was wave at him, and his principles went out the window.

It was as if Alaric had eyes on the back of his head. He instantly caught the judgment in Wesley's gaze, his voice chillingly calm. "Do you still want your eyes?"

Whoa, he actually has a brain?

Wesley quickly threw on his sunglasses, just in case his true feelings leaked out again.

Alaric didn't have time to play games. "Leave the files and get out."

"Yes, sir."

Used and thrown away. What a ruthless boss.

Just as Wesley turned to leave, Alaric remembered something and stopped him.

"Did you trace the owner of that email?"

Three days ago, someone had hacked into Alaric's private inbox. The person didn't steal any data; instead, they left a single email.

It was exactly the clues in that email that had drawn Alaric's attention to the Whitmores and exposed Julianne's plot.

Wesley's expression grew serious. "Not yet."

Alaric didn't get angry. "Keep digging. Destroy the old server and have a new database built from scratch."

"Understood."

The hot tea on the table had gone cold, completely untouched.

The teenager leaned against the daybed, slowly flipping through the logs of Vivienne's daily life.

After spending so much time around him, Moira no longer dared to treat the boy in front of her like a typical teenager. She volunteered the explanation, "This was your father's order. Congress is overwhelmed with work right now, and he doesn't have the time. From now on, regional intelligence is under your command."

Cyril set down his juice and slowly took the hard drive from her.

"Tell my father I will handle it."

"Yes, sir," Moira nodded. She turned to leave but suddenly remembered something. After a moment of hesitation, she turned back. "Mr. Cyril, before this, all regional intelligence was handled by your mother."

Cyril looked at her, offering a soft, gentle smile. "I know."

Moira lowered her eyes, bowed, and left the room.

The moment the door clicked shut, the smile in Cyril's eyes vanished instantly. Looking completely disinterested, he tossed the hard drive onto the table.

He turned back to the window, resting his chin in his hand, and stared blankly at the moon, his finger absently tapping his phone screen.

The screen lit up, illuminating an AI encyclopedia page.

— Nine pink roses symbolize: First love, I like you.
