Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 623

As soon as Moira heard that Cyril wanted to eat hot pot, she immediately set up a dining table on The Terrace. In less than an hour, a spread of top-tier ingredients from land, sea, and air was neatly arranged across the table.

The most striking item was an entire auction-grade Iberian Ham.

Moira handed the task of carving the ham to Wesley. Holding the long knife, Wesley awkwardly measured the angles, looking troubled. He was a professional at killing people, but carving ham was not his strong suit.

Moira then handed Lennox a white towel and assigned him the task of pouring wine for the young men. Considering the girls were younger and unaccustomed to strong red wine, Moira thoughtfully prepared warm water, fruit juice, fruit wine, and low-alcohol cocktails.

With the ingredients fully prepped, Cyril and Alaric's chess match also came to an end.

The two had slaughtered each other's pieces until neither had any pawns left, ending in a draw in the most brutal fashion possible.

Night fell, and the port lit up with rows of boat lights.

Inside, a Copper Hot Pot sat on a moderately sized round table, leaving plenty of space even with six people sitting around it.

The red broth in the pot began to boil, bubbles popping one after another. The rising steam fogged up the glass that reflected the city's night view, turning it into an abstract piece of art.

Vivienne rested her chin on her hands, looking at everyone sitting together, feeling deeply moved.

Fate was truly bizarre. In her past life, this group of people would have never crossed paths, yet here they were today, sitting together eating hot pot.

No one knew the complexity of her thoughts as Vivienne picked up her strawberry juice, feeling like she should toast to herself.

The red chili oil and various spices burst together, and the incredible aroma quickly took over the entire apartment. Worried the scent might be too overpowering, Moira stepped forward and asked Vivienne.

"Miss Lexton, there are still plenty of candles in the storage room. Should we light them all tonight?"

"Pfft—"

Vivienne couldn't hold it back. Her carefully brewed sentimental mood was instantly shattered by Moira's candles.

Sitting across from her, Cyril smoothly handed her a tissue and answered for her. "No need. Save them for later."

Moira nodded. "Yes. The broth is ready. I'll go mix the dipping sauces for everyone. Any dietary restrictions?"

Mina clicked her tongue in awe. Where did they hire this assistant? She was practically an all-purpose caretaker.

"I don't eat cilantro," Aurelia said. "No garlic, and no green onions either."

The oil in the pot boiled more furiously. The round table was now perfectly filled with eight people.

Lennox cluelessly poured a full glass for Wesley. "You said last time you wanted to grab a drink when we had the chance. Well, the chance is here."

"..." Wesley maintained a deadpan expression as he ate a piece of the astronomical-priced ham, before downing the glass in one gulp. His inner self, however, was screaming wildly. *Hey! That was just being polite! Can't you understand basic pleasantries?!*

The atmosphere was impossibly harmonious. Vivienne suddenly remembered her promise to Bianca and dialed the video call.

"Wanna join us for hot pot?"

Even though Bianca was clipped onto a phone stand, she fully embraced the experience. She even had Moira mix a dipping sauce for her with extra spice and numbness.

*You can do that?* Mina was deeply inspired. She pulled out her phone, found a picture of Sophia, and said, "Ms. Nash, could you mix another dipping sauce? Extra cumin, please."

"You..." Vivienne hesitated, before suddenly remembering something. "Ms. Nash, quickly, turn on the TV."

Moira, moving like an octopus, sprang into action.

The local news channel was still playing clips of Caspian Ravenshire's visit to Solenforth. Just as the camera panned to Caspian, Vivienne raised her glass of strawberry juice. "Come on, cheers!"
