Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 624

Everyone chuckled at her antics and raised their glasses in response.

The moment the wine and juice glasses clinked, the TV broadcast suddenly cut to Julian Ravenshire, who lifted his gaze and stared right at the camera.

Everything happened with perfect timing.

Meanwhile, at The Blackthorne Residence.

At the massive dining table, four people sat sparsely scattered, with Edmund at the head. The table was laden with a dazzling array of exquisite dishes.

They originally thought that by sending Theron to Merriton City as a persuasive emissary, Mina would definitely return with him. To their surprise, even Theron got held back in Merriton City.

Having experienced extreme highs and lows over the past few days, Eleonora looked rather listless.

Seeing this, Isolde served her a bowl of hot soup.

"They've found her, so you should set your mind at ease."

Eleonora offered a comforted smile, then turned to Edmund. "Dad, what did Theron say?"

"That girl is staying with her friends right now and said she'd be back in a few days," Edmund replied. "Listen to Isolde and relax. Don't end up falling ill again before Mina even gets back."

"Dad is right," Sterling said gently, patting Eleonora's hand. "With Theron there, nothing will go wrong. You need to take care of yourself first."

Eleonora nodded and finally mustered the energy to drink her soup.

After dinner, Edmund and Sterling went to the study to discuss matters, while Isolde accompanied Eleonora for a walk in the courtyard.

The wind picked up, so after walking for a bit, the two retreated to The Sunroom Pavilion.

"Mom, have some Ginger Tea."

Eleonora took the tea and pulled Isolde down to sit beside her. "Isolde, it's just the two of us here. Tell me honestly, is there some sort of friction between you and Mina?"

Isolde lowered her head and remained silent.

Eleonora immediately understood. No wonder the child refused to come home. Over the years, Eleonora had genuinely loved Mina. To her, the two girls were like the palm and back of her hand—she couldn't bear to see either of them hurt.

Eleonora gently pulled her into a hug. "Isolde, you and Mina are both my precious girls. I can't bear to see either of you hurt. I hate the agony of our separation more than anyone, and knowing that woman mistreated you makes me want to rip her heart out. So I am asking you, please give me a little time. Give all of us a little time. I promise you, Rowena will be punished. She will absolutely pay the price for her sins, provided we don't drag Mina into it. She is innocent."

Later that night, Isolde sat by her bed, staring blankly out the window.

Eleonora's words kept echoing in her mind, making it impossible to sleep.

Just then, her phone screen vibrated.

Isolde turned to glance at it, dark undercurrents swirling in her eyes.

[Mira Easton: I'm going to drag you down to hell with me. Don't even think about getting away.]
