Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 654

"Talia."

Alaric quickly caught up to her in the courtyard.

Seeing him approach, Mr. Caine tactfully stepped away to give them privacy.

"Did you need something?" Talia wasn't nearly as composed internally as she had pretended to be inside, but she maintained her graceful facade in front of Alaric.

Alaric pulled a thick, envelope-sized document file from his coat pocket. "Please pass this on to Vivienne for me."

Talia blinked in surprise and took the envelope. "Alaric, forgive me for prying, but may I ask what's inside?"

At a critical juncture like this, a misplaced ounce of trust could ruin Vivienne's life forever. Talia had to be ruthlessly cautious.

"You can open it and see for yourself," Alaric replied.

Talia gave him a calculating look and decisively tore the envelope open. As she scanned the contents, tears immediately welled up in her eyes.

She instinctively opened her arms to pull Alaric into a hug, but quickly remembered how much he hated physical contact and awkwardly dropped her hands.

"Alaric, I'm thanking you on Vivienne's behalf. I owe you for this. If there is ever a day you need anything, just say the word and I'll make it happen."

Alaric's expression remained perfectly stoic. "You're exaggerating, Talia. I didn't do this for you."

Talia realized her slip-up. She chuckled and wiped the corner of her eye. "My mistake. But I accept the favor anyway."

Alaric looked as though he wanted to add something, hesitated, and ultimately just offered a firm nod.

After Talia drove away, Wesley practically flew out from behind a large oak tree.

"Boss, you should have corrected her! You should have loudly declared that the favor belongs to Miss Lexton, and she was taking credit for the wrong person!"

Alaric shot him a dead-eyed glare. "Shut up."

One second ago, Wesley had been shaking his head in disappointment at his boss's lack of romantic game. Now, he desperately wished he could forge the man some courage himself.

"Here, Dad."

Adrian forced himself to perk up. "Did you finish your project?"

Sienna nodded and handed him a tablet she had prepared. "The gun violence and murder case is trending everywhere. I thought that using it as a starting point to draft a sociological report focused on women's issues would be incredibly impactful."

Adrian's interest was immediately piqued. He took the tablet.

Sienna was brilliant. She knew the nation was violently split over Vivienne. Taking a definitive stance on either side would inevitably trigger mass outrage from the opposing half.

So, her angle focused strictly on societal phenomena rather than debating the legal ethics of the case.

For example, she expressed deep sympathy for Mina's tragic circumstances, using it to launch a critique on the nation's security infrastructure.

Similarly, she drew attention to the children trafficked by their own parents to the church, pivoting the conversation toward the desperately needed reform of the social welfare system.

Sienna was Adrian's only child, and he had poured limitless resources into her education. Over the past three years, Sienna frequently accompanied her presidential father to high-level political summits, gradually building a formidable reputation of her own.
