Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 659

He had laid this trap long ago. If the Ravenshires thought they could brush this off as an illegal private purchase, they had another thing coming.

She was just an arrogant brat hiding behind her family's wealth. He couldn't wait to see how the Ravenshires planned to salvage this disaster with an adopted girl acting as her own defense.

Judge Gresham reviewed the documents and passed them to the jury.

"Does the defense dispute this claim?"

Vivienne shook her head. "No. It is military issue."

The prosecutor stared at her, utterly baffled. Was she giving up because she knew she was cornered?

The gallery exploded into a frenzy of whispers.

"Order in the court!"

Judge Gresham struck her gavel again.

Vivienne remained perfectly composed. "Your Honor, my lawyer informed me that every citizen has the right to freely express their views. The prosecution has finished. Is it my turn to respond?"

Before the trial, Judge Gresham had read through every file and even pulled Vivienne's school records from the past three years. She actually liked this seemingly erratic girl.

So, despite Vivienne's slight breach of protocol, Mama Justice offered her a touch of leniency.

"In a moment, child. The prosecution must deliver their final statement first."

Vivienne nodded, leaning back against the stand and raising an eyebrow at the prosecutor.

The prosecutor had never dealt with such an insolent defendant. Gripping his prepared notes, he declared, "In conclusion, the prosecution requests that the court find Vivienne Lexton guilty of illegal possession of military firearms and aggravated murder, and sentence her to life in prison."

"Go to hell, you piece of trash!"

Before the prosecutor could even finish his sentence, Talia shot out of her seat in the gallery, ripped the massive pearl necklace from her throat, and hurled it directly at the man's face.

The curse was so vicious that everyone froze. By the time they processed it, the prosecutor was clutching his bruising eye, nearly collapsing to the floor.

"Because I'm not an ordinary civilian."

Vivienne lifted her chin, a look of pure disdain in her eyes. "In the entire history of Athelvia, there have only been ten Seven-Star Generals. Every single one of them was a war hero, awarded the highest national honors. Out of those ten, four were given the title of Golden Gun General. Would you like to check the serial number on the magazine of my gun?"

The room fell dead silent.

What?

Was this in the Athelvia Constitution?

Vivienne smirked. "It's not constitutional law. It's military law. The four Golden Gun Generals are the late General Gable, the late General Keane, and the Commander-in-Chief of Stormhollow, Marshal Ravenshire."

"And... the only one still living today: my grandfather, Caspian Ravenshire."
