Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 672

Blackbriar Wing.

"How could he just kick you like that without even listening to what happened?"

Lennox crouched down, carefully applying medicine to Cyril's bruises. Dorian had been blindingly furious, and his kick had been merciless. Cyril's entire lower abdomen was an ugly tapestry of purple and blue.

"I'm fine. Leave me be for now," the young man said softly, looking down as he adjusted his shirt, his expression utterly placid.

It was because he was too gentle that people always trampled all over him. Lennox wanted to say more, but he swallowed his words, obediently packing up the medical kit and leaving the room.

Cyril stood and walked out onto the balcony.

The wing had been vacant for a long time, and a thick carpet of dead, yellow leaves covered the ground. He crouched down, picking up the withered leaves one by one, his eyes tranquil and unexpectedly tender.

Dorian had undoubtedly realized he'd been played by now. Knowing his personality, he would never let this slide. Only when Dorian realized that the Ravenshire family was a treacherous snake pit beyond his control would he desperately seek a trustworthy ally. Only then would the cunning power-broker truly hand over the reins.

As for that statement, Dorian would never discover that the 'pathetic waste of space' he despised was the one who had gift-wrapped this nightmare for him.

The moment Cyril was handed the statement, he secretly ran a background check on Vincent Ingram. He knew the newspaper was compromised from the very beginning and had prepared for both outcomes.

If Vivienne lost her trial, the statement at the publisher would be infected by a Trojan virus, ensuring it never saw the light of day.

But if Vivienne won, he would simply play along, pretending ignorance while letting Dorian take the catastrophic fall.

Killing two birds with one stone.

Evening.

Dorian returned to Obsidian Estate. The entire family was waiting in the Main Hall for news. Given their explosive fallout that afternoon, the second and third branches sat on opposite sides of the room, completely ignoring each other.

Bianca and Aurelia sat huddled in a corner, barely daring to breathe, staring intently at their phones.

[O-Hey!: No need to guess! Dorian is absolutely the mole.]

[Lia: Based on his reaction, I don't think so. I feel like someone who could hide for this long wouldn't be that simple.]

Bianca bounced in her seat and, without missing a beat, yelled, "Dorian, your foot is blocking my wheelchair!"

"..." The muscles in Dorian's jaw violently twitched.

"Why are you explaining yourself to him?" Talia said coldly, pushing the wheelchair straight out of the Main Hall without a backward glance.

"Talia!"

Furious, Leander pointed at her and was about to give chase, but Lucian blocked his path. "Dorian, Leander, hurry up. Let's not keep Grandpa waiting."

Benedict used his massive frame to push right past Leander. He looked back and waved. "Aurelia, come on."

Aurelia offered a shy smile, nodding politely as she squeezed past Leander, wheeling quickly to catch up with Benedict.

The remaining men exchanged awkward glances. Lucian laughed nervously, gesturing for Alaric to walk with him.

Watching the entire room go out of their way to antagonize the second branch, Leander's face soured. "Dorian, what the hell is the third branch playing at? Teaming up to bully us lonely old men?"
