Caspian took the documents and tossed them onto the coffee table.
"Excluding the company's assets, these are the properties under my name. We can discuss the rest later, but I've already decided to give Onyx Manor to Vivienne."
Everyone froze. Onyx Manor was prime real estate. The Ravenshire family's ancestors had built their foundation there. After Caspian's branch of the family sacrificed themselves for the country, leaving only him as the sole survivor, he had rebuilt the family empire and eventually moved into the current Obsidian Estate.
Even when Sebastian got married, Caspian hadn't been willing to part with it. And now, he was giving it to an outsider?!
Leander's expression darkened. "Dad, the Ravenshire family has so many properties. You could pick any of the others, but Onyx Manor..."
"No matter how many estates the Ravenshire family owns, they belong to me," Caspian said. "I can give them to whoever I please. What? Do you have a problem with that?"
Onyx Manor had already been transferred to her name three years ago. Even if these people objected, it would be useless.
Aside from Talia, everyone else looked displeased. If it were anything else, they could let it slide, but this was Onyx Manor.
"Furthermore, Vivienne's sixteenth birthday is coming up," Caspian continued. "There's no time like the present. I plan to head to Alderwick on that day and finalize her entry into the family registry."
Since he was already giving her Onyx Manor, adding her to the registry was just the next logical step. Everyone knew that Dorian's statement severing ties with her had crossed Caspian's bottom line. They were furious but didn't dare speak up.
Alaric glanced at Vivienne. "Grandpa..."
"I don't think this is the right way to handle things."
Before Alaric could finish, Julian suddenly spoke up. "Dorian just severed ties with her, and now you're immediately adding her to the registry. Isn't that a slap in his face?"
Dorian froze.
Leander scratched his head, quickly catching on. "Ah, right! Dad, shouldn't you listen to what the younger generation has to say?"
Since Caspian ignored his own sons, perhaps he would listen to his grandsons.
Caspian had never expected Julian to be the first one to object.
For the past few days, Julian had been glued to the news from Athelvia, closely monitoring the situation back home. He clearly cared deeply for Vivienne. Had Caspian misjudged him?
Caspian, completely unaware of Alaric's true motives, felt a pang of guilt. "Cyril, I've neglected you."
Cyril glanced at Alaric, his eyes arching slightly with a smile. "Thank you for looking out for me, Alaric. Grandpa, I actually think this is a perfect opportunity. Vivienne and I can be added to the registry together. It would be much more convenient."
If she didn't speak up now, her spot as Grandpa's granddaughter would be snatched away. Vivienne quickly nodded in agreement. "I think..."
"No!" Julian and Alaric rejected the idea in unison.
These two absolute jerks!
Furious, Vivienne shot them both a lethal glare.
