Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 684

Their gazes clashed in the shadows, charged with dangerous tension.

Julian offered a mocking smile, slowly lifting his arm and releasing his grip on Cyril.

He really couldn't underestimate this bastard for even a second.

Cyril casually brushed off his shoulder, shoved Julian aside with one hand, and walked right past him without a second glance.

Julian stared after his retreating silhouette, an unreadable storm raging in his eyes.

"Sir, are you alright?"

Julian snapped his gaze back, giving Heath a lazy, dismissive look. "What could possibly be wrong with me?"

Heath looked thoroughly exasperated. He'd spent the entire night acting like a rabid porcupine, picking fights with everyone, and he called this "alright"?

His mood completely soured, Julian turned and headed toward the inner courtyard. He had barely taken a few steps when a figure suddenly lunged out from the Trellis Gate.

"Julian!"

Leander had been lurking in the inner courtyard for ages. Finally ambushing his rebellious son, he leapt out, beaming with excitement.

Compared to Leander's overwhelming enthusiasm, Julian was ice cold. "It's the middle of the night. Who are you trying to scare by sneaking around like a ghost?"

"..." Leander's grin instantly collapsed. Swallowing his temper, he snapped, "You won't answer my calls, and I can never find you! If I didn't ambush you, would you even remember you had a father?!"

"Now that I've seen you, I kind of want to forget," Julian deadpanned.

"..." Leander felt a sharp pain in his chest. He really should have swallowed a Calming Pill before confronting this ungrateful brat.

Julian took a step, intending to walk away, but then hesitated, a sudden realization hitting him. "Are you scheming something stupid again?"
