"How did you hook up with Preston?"

I took a few test shots to fix it, and he immediately suspected me. He dug up my identity, but it was weird—he didn't try to arrest me. He just let me walk. Then, yesterday afternoon, he sought me out and demanded to meet the boss."

Cyril's expression didn't change. "Did they meet?"

"Yes. But I have no idea what they talked about. My only job was to run interference."

"Last question. How many of you are there in total?"

The Raider hesitated. "Five."

Cyril nodded. He turned his gaze to the corner of the room, offering a gentle smile to the four boys huddled there. "You heard him. Colluding with pirates guarantees a military tribunal. When the time comes, not even the Everhart family will be able to save you."
