Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 731

"How do you know there's another group?"

Amadis's eyes darkened, a trace of disdain in his voice. "We crossed paths, obviously. The guy was a real piece of work. With rain pouring like a waterfall, he actually camped in a tree for an ambush, not even caring if he got struck by lightning."

He offered a malicious grin. "I have to admit, he was pretty dedicated to killing you."

"Killing me?" A terrifying thought struck Bianca, and her voice began to tremble involuntarily.

Seeing her shake, Amadis frowned. "What are you scared of? You're perfectly safe with me. I threw those guys off our trail; they won't find us for now. If you think about it, you're actually incredibly lucky."

Bianca looked at him. "What about you? Why are you here? Why did you want to kidnap Vivi—me?"

Amadis's lips curled into a smile, but he didn't answer.

He was here under someone else's manipulation, of course. His head guard had recently received a secret letter claiming Vivienne had murdered Balthazar Beaufort. The letter thoughtfully included a map of the resort and Vivienne's hotel room number.

He wasn't an idiot. Someone orchestrating things this perfectly was clearly trying to use him as a weapon.

Unfortunately for the mastermind, they miscalculated. While he was blood-related to Balthazar, he felt absolutely zero affection for his psychotic uncle. The only reason he wanted to capture Vivienne was to get his hands on the intel Balthazar had gathered.

Ironically, out of the four factions out there, he was the only one who actually wanted Vivienne alive. Otherwise, he wouldn't have bothered dealing with those assassins.

When he didn't reply, Bianca tried a different angle. "You don't hold any hostility toward me, right?"

... Amadis remained silent.

Bianca's heart plummeted. This meant that if Vivienne really had been taken by this idiot, she'd actually be safe. But because they inexplicably swapped rooms, they had swapped dangers.
