Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 739

How was this leaving her behind? They were supposed to solve this together.

Vivienne paused, suddenly realizing the flaw in her logic. Cyril didn't have her omniscient perspective. To him, Alaric and Julian were fully capable of taking care of themselves, while she was helpless. At 99 percent affection, there was no way he'd just abandon her.

But those killers were after her. If she went with Cyril to The Stone Bridge, the assassins and the pirates would end up merging forces, making survival absolutely impossible.

She had to find a way to convince him.

"Cy—"

Before she could finish, Cyril cut her off. "Save it. Even if Grandpa were here, he would agree with me."

Speechless.

He even dragged Grandpa into this.

"Staying in the water isn't a long-term solution either. I'll lure them away in a minute. Find a place to hide. That room you were in earlier isn't safe, so don't go back there."

Cyril glanced up at the storm and prepared to stand.

"Cyril Bean!" Vivienne yanked his arm and shoved his shoulder, pinning him hard against the tree.

Cyril's temple throbbed. "Get off me," he scolded softly.

Vivienne ripped a blade of grass from the ground and shoved it in his face. "I forgot the last bookmark at home. Take this for now."

Cyril frowned, a flicker of anger in his eyes. "Vivienne."

Vivienne completely ignored him. Pinning him down, her voice left absolutely no room for debate. "Go to The Stone Bridge and find Julian."

Crash!

A jagged bolt of purple lightning tore across the sky, illuminating the desolate estate with the blinding clarity of daylight. In that split second, their eyes locked.

How could someone with a heavy conscience meet a gaze as radiant as the stars?
