Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 803

Standing by the exterior wall of Vellmont Lodge, Lennox Raynor was drowning in severe moral panic as he nervously held the base of the ladder. When he finally saw Cyril climb down, the massive knot in his chest loosened just a fraction.

"Cyril, thank god you're down. I just saw Wesley heading toward the main entrance of Vellmont Lodge. He didn't spot you, did he?"

Cyril cast a quick glance in the direction of Wolfram Manor. "Let's go. We're heading back."

"Yes, sir," Lennox replied, anxiously rubbing his hands together.

Once they returned to Blackbriar Wing, Cyril walked straight into the master bedroom, leaving Lennox to suffer in a personal purgatory of agonizing questions.

Lennox had finally pieced it together.

The gentle, understanding Cyril was hopelessly falling for the arrogant, utterly unreasonable Vivienne.

What the hell were they going to do?

If Caspian found out about this, Cyril would be dragged out and drowned in the river for causing a scandal!

Lennox paced frantically around the courtyard before finally mustering the courage to knock on Cyril's door, fully prepared for the fallout.

Scaling the Climbing Roses hadn't been completely seamless. Despite his caution, Cyril's arms were scratched up by the thorns. He was sitting on the sofa, quietly treating his cuts, when the knock interrupted him. His eyes darkened slightly. "Come in."

Lennox pushed the door open. "Cyril, the laundry is done."

Cyril nodded. Lennox shuffled into the walk-in closet, pretending to organize the freshly cleaned clothes. After agonizing for several minutes, he finally dragged his feet back out and stood awkwardly in front of Cyril.

"Cyril... sneaking out to see Vivienne this late... is it because it's too risky during the day?"

Cyril looked up, his expression completely calm as he met Lennox's eyes.

"..." Realizing how incredibly stupid that sounded, Lennox let out an awkward, strained laugh. "I... I didn't mean it like that. I mean, couldn't whatever business you had be done in the daylight? Did it have to be in the middle of the night?"
