"Got it."
Vivienne hung up, her expression calm and unbothered as she studied the three men in front of her.
The room was filled with the pathetic sounds of Sheila and Rowan begging for their lives. Gregory, missing a row of teeth, couldn't have begged even if he tried.
After a moment of silence, Vivienne finally spoke. "Where is my card?"
"Here! Right here!" Terrified of provoking these monsters any further, Sheila practically tore into Gregory's clothes, fishing the card out of his underwear. "Here is your card! Please, be the bigger person! Have mercy and let us go!"
Vivienne stared at the card in disgust. "..."
The three men on the sofa exchanged complicated looks.
Vivienne rubbed her temples. "Jasper."
Jasper's brow twitched. He turned his gaze toward her, his face completely devoid of expression.
"Burn it," Vivienne ordered.
Jasper took a slow, deliberate step forward. The sheer physical presence of the hulking bodyguard hit Sheila like a brick wall, forcing her to squeeze her eyes shut in sheer terror.
Vivienne then turned her attention to Kael. "You said you'd pay double?"
Kael gritted his teeth. "Yeah."
"I want triple."
"..." Kael looked as if he had swallowed a lemon. He waved a dismissive hand. "Fine. Triple it is." He pointed at the three trembling figures on the floor. "What do you want to do with them?"
"One is your employee, and the other two are your clients. What do they have to do with me?" Vivienne replied smoothly. "Since my money is coming back, what happens to them is entirely your business."
The three of them immediately burst into hysterical wailing. Annoyed by the noise, Kael gestured to his men, who swiftly gagged them and dragged them out.
