Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 874

Talia took her seat with absolute elegance, her smile radiant. She offered a casually manufactured explanation, "I just bumped into Cedric at Vellmont Lodge. He mentioned Mr. Kenyon wanted to see Vivienne. It just so happens I'm quite free, so I came to join the fun. I hope you don't mind, Mr. Kenyon?"

Feigning complete ignorance, Caspian lowered his head and took a slow sip of tea.

"Not at all," Leland replied gracefully. "I've heard Ms. Ravenshire and Vivienne share a bond akin to mother and daughter. Since that is the case, a mother naturally has the right to decide matters concerning her child."

Talia lifted her chin proudly. "Of course. She is my daughter. If the sky falls, I will be the one to hold it up for her. I assume your visit today is regarding Kael? Vivienne is still young. If there are any issues, you can address them directly with me."

Julia truly radiated a profound sense of security. A faint, genuine smile graced Vivienne's lips.

Leland considered her words for a moment before speaking carefully. "Since you've surmised I'm here for Kael, I will get straight to the point."

"I imagine both of you have heard about the accident on Garden Avenue yesterday. I have thoroughly interrogated Kael, and I understand the entire sequence of events. You all know Kael is my only son, born to me late in life. Naturally, I despise seeing him suffer."

Vivienne instantly sharpened her focus, scrutinizing Leland. Leading with a reminder of Kael's immense importance proved the old man wasn't planning on letting this slide easily.

That coward Kael definitely hadn't confessed the truth. He must have spun some intricate web of lies to appease his father.

Talia offered a faint smile, an equally dominant aura pooling in her eyes. "I'm afraid I don't follow, Mr. Kenyon. Perhaps you could be more direct."

Leland shot a brief glance at Vivienne, then stood up. "Caspian, Ms. Ravenshire, Kael has made the nature of his relationship with Vivienne abundantly clear to me."

Vivienne froze, turning to Leland in sheer astonishment.

No way. Did that coward actually confess to running an illegal casino?

Wait... did Leland know she had blackmailed his son and played him like a complete fool?

Caspian noticed Vivienne's slight stiffness. He set down his teacup with slow, deliberate precision and met Leland's gaze with chilling composure. "Mr. Kenyon, what exactly is your intention today?"

Leland took a deep breath. "I came today on behalf of my son..."

Vivienne narrowed her eyes slightly.
