Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 91

In the end, Caspian decided that Benedict would personally escort Vivienne and Bianca to Alderwick in three days.

After a tumultuous day, Caspian was exhausted. He gave a few simple instructions before taking Cyril back to rest. Considering how late it was and the inconvenience of traveling the mountain roads at night, Caspian specifically told everyone to stay overnight.

Once the old man left, the Ravenshires also began to disperse in twos and threes. Dorian, struggling with his career and not in a good state, exchanged a few pleasantries before heading back to rest.

Leander was still mulling over the meaning behind Caspian’s earlier glance when Evelyn came up and patted his shoulder. “Leander, did you see that?”

Leander took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose. “See what?”

Evelyn feigned annoyance. “Leander! Why don't you ever take what I say seriously? Didn’t you notice it just now? Father is clearly treating Cyril differently. It just goes to show, children grow closer to you when they're raised by your side. Don't say I didn't warn you; you'll regret it when it's too late.”

Leander’s fingertips paused for a moment before he nonchalantly put his glasses back on. “Alright, you don’t need to worry about this.”

“Hey!” Evelyn wanted to say more, but Charles grabbed her arm and gave her a subtle shake of his head.

Lucian and Benedict left the main hall and headed toward Echostone House. After such a major incident, they couldn’t rest easy without checking on things themselves.

Meanwhile, just as Cedric escorted Cyril back to the Blackbriar Wing, Victor approached them.

Seeing Victor’s hesitant expression, Cyril understood. “What is it?” he asked in a gentle tone.

“Mr. Cyril,” Victor said, “your father would like to see you.”

They were all under the same roof. If Dorian truly wanted to see him, he could have just come over. Sending Victor to relay the message clearly meant he didn't want anyone else to know.

Cyril’s expression didn't change. “Where is he?” he asked calmly.

Victor pointed next door. “Vellmont Lodge.”

Cyril’s eyes flickered. He nodded and turned to leave the Blackbriar Wing again.

Cyril smiled. “I didn’t do anything. Grandfather is just a kind person.”

Dorian neither confirmed nor denied it, instead asking warmly, “I heard you were there when the Whitmores caused a scene at Northwing Court today?”

Cyril nodded. “I happened to be seeking advice from Grandfather. It was just a coincidence.”

Victor had already told him what had happened, and Dorian wasn't concerned with such minor details. He got straight to the point. “Cyril, what did the Whitmore family do to really infuriate Grandfather?”

This might fool others, but not Dorian. The old man had always been clear about his grievances. If the Whitmores had merely caused a disturbance at Obsidian Estate, Damien wouldn't have ended up with a broken leg. Caspian must have been hiding something.

Cyril didn't hesitate. He glanced around before lowering his voice. “Dad, the mastermind behind the Gold Hill land deal wasn't the Montclair family. It was the Whitmores.”

Dorian was stunned. Even with all his experience, the news was shocking. “You can’t just say things like that. Who started this rumor? Is there any proof? And Grandfather just believed it?”

Cyril thought for a moment, then recounted how Vivienne had overheard the conversation while hiding in a large cabinet.
