"Trail them," Theodore instructed as he took out his phone to call Isabella.

The call didn't go through. He tried twice, but the line was busy both times. He glanced out the car window and saw that they weren't heading home.

Meanwhile, Isabella was on the phone with Kenneth inside the car.

Ten minutes ago, she followed Alexander into the restaurant. It was her first time there, though she had heard of its reputation as a popular dining spot. However, upon entering, she noticed that the main dining hall was empty, with not a single guest in sight.

It felt odd. Isabella had a sudden, strange feeling and glanced at Alexander, whose expression remained as serious as ever.

At that moment, a waiter approached, nodded politely, and said, "Mr. Sinclair, welcome. Your table is over this way."

Isabella looked in the direction the waiter pointed and saw that their table was near the window. From there, most of Solara's night view could be seen, making it the perfect spot for a romantic gesture.

Her heart skipped a beat as her gaze fell on the large bouquet of red roses on the table.

"Happy birthday," Alexander whispered in a deep, pleasant voice.

She instinctively stepped back and looked up at him awkwardly. "Aren't we supposed to have dinner with the client?"

"Today is your birthday. As your boss, I wouldn't treat my employee harshly on such an occasion."

Isabella gave a forced smile. "Still, that's not necessary."

"Isabella…" He seemed ready to speak, but she continued stepping back from him.

"Alexander, thank you, but really, there's no need. These things should be done by your uncle. He's on a business trip today. When he returns, we'll celebrate my birthday together," she said.

Before he could finish speaking, she turned and walked away, not even giving him the chance to finish his sentences.

"Isabella Moore! I've never fucking met a more heartless woman than you!"

Behind her, Alexander's angry kicks echoed. She left the restaurant without looking back and hailed a cab. Just as she got into the car, she received a call from Kenneth.

"Isabella, help me! Come quick, I'm being bullied!" Kenneth's panicked voice came through the receiver.

Isabella furrowed her brows. "Where are you? I'll come over right away."

"Thank you! I'll send you the address. Please hurry!"

Kenneth was her junior, so she couldn't just stand by and do nothing. She quickly instructed the driver to head to the address Kenneth provided.
