Cheated Once Cherished Forever: The Billionaire's Bride novel Chapter 153

"Mr. Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair entered that villa complex ahead," Caleb said cautiously.

No matter how slow Caleb was, even he had realized it by now—he and Theodore were here to catch someone in the act!

It was both thrilling and terrifying. Caleb was shocked that anyone would dare mess with the woman of the Sinclair heir. At the same time, he felt sorry for the man because he would likely meet a gruesome end.

"We can't get in... Should I just ram my way through?" Caleb said firmly, and he even acted like he was ready to hit the accelerator.

Theodore cast a cold, sidelong glance at him. "Do you want me to bail you out of the police station?"

Caleb went silent. Didn't hopeless romantics tend to act recklessly and without concern?

"So, what do we do now?"

Theodore took out his phone and made a call. After a few rings, the person on the other end finally answered.

"Theo." Their greeting was cautious.

Caleb recognized the voice as Yannick's. Now that he thought about it, it had been a while since he had seen Theodore meet with Yannick. They used to meet quite frequently in the past.

Theodore said in a calm tone, "Yannick, I'm at the entrance of your neighborhood. Let the security guard open the door."

Yannick excitedly raised his voice. "You came to see me? Alright! I'll tell the security right now!"

Theodore stated his license plate number, and within two minutes, they entered the neighborhood without any trouble.

They happened to come across the cab that was on its way out. Caleb immediately flagged it down. Rolling down the window, he asked, "Hello. Where did you drop off that young woman?"

The cab driver scrutinized Caleb cautiously before retorting, "Why are you asking? What are your intentions? I can't tell you. You don't look like a good person to me!"

Caleb laughed in exasperation. With no time to argue, he pulled out a few bills and shoved them into the driver's hand. "I'll pay 500 dollars for an answer. Don't worry, I'm not a bad person. That's my boss' wife."

The driver glanced at the money in his hand, then at Caleb, and finally, at their expensive car. Someone who could afford such a car probably wasn't here to rob or assault anyone.

"We have certain rules… We're not allowed to disclose any information about our clients…"

Caleb added another 200 dollars.

The driver chuckled and raised both hands, holding up a finger on each.

Caleb nodded and returned to the car.

"She's in Villa 11, Mr. Sinclair."

"You… Have you had too much to drink? What are you saying?"

Kenneth waved it off, his tone serious and firm. "I'm not drunk, nor am I talking nonsense. Isabella, I've liked you from the start. It was love at first sight!"

She was left bewildered. Were these two men treating her birthday like Valentine's Day?

"H-Hold on for a moment. Let me catch my breath."

Kenneth grinned, showing his white teeth, and continued without heeding Isabella's protests, "Back when we were in school, I wanted to confess, but then I heard you had a boyfriend… I thought it would be best to respect that, so I waited until now."

Isabella's mind was spinning.

Just then, a cold voice rang out. "Isabella…"

She turned. Theodore's leather shoes clinked on the marble floor as she approached, and she felt each of his steps deep in her chest.

"Theodore... Shouldn't you be on a business trip?" Isabella asked in surprise.

"I'm here to take you home."

Hearing that, Kenneth stepped in front of Isabella and said fiercely, "H-How can you barge in just like that? Even if you're a friend of hers, isn't it rude to come in without my permission? Also, I'm celebrating Isabella's birthday. She's not going back with you!"
