Cheated Once Cherished Forever: The Billionaire's Bride novel Chapter 154

Theodore didn't even spare Kenneth a glance. His eyes were fixed solely on Isabella. He said softly, "Bella, come here."

His tone was gentle, but his overwhelming presence carried an inexplicable sense of threat.

Isabella was about to walk over when Kenneth pulled her back.

"Isabella, don't bother with someone so rude! He's so aggressive, definitely not the kind of person to befriend."

Isabella thought he was actually right. Theodore might not be the ideal friend, but he definitely made a good husband.

She said, "It's alright. Actually, he's—"

"It doesn't matter who he is. A friend shouldn't act like that! Someone who doesn't respect you has no right to be your friend," Kenneth cut her off. He puffed his cheeks with indignation, like a child throwing a tantrum.

Isabella pressed her fingers to her forehead, exasperated.

Theodore then said calmly, "I'm her husband."

The tense atmosphere suddenly froze.

Kenneth blinked, certain he had misheard. He looked at Isabella in confusion.

Isabella nodded, confirming it.

Kenneth still couldn't believe it. "What did he just say?"

She opened her mouth, searching for the right words. She wanted to explain things to Kenneth in a more gentle way. After all, he had just confessed his feelings to her. She didn't want to hurt him more than necessary.

But before she could speak, Theodore repeated, "I'm her husband!"

"No one asked you!" Kenneth shouted at him.

He was probably the first person to ever shout at Theodore Sinclair.

The moment it happened, Caleb strode in from outside. His wary gaze made it clear he was ready to take action at any time.

Kenneth turned to look at Isabella, his eyes brimming with sadness. Isabella looked back at him as if she were looking at an abandoned puppy.

"Isabella..."

"Oh, I don't think you'll be getting that autograph," Theodore said.

"Why not?" Only then did Kenneth realize how the topic had suddenly gone off track.

As he pondered on, Theodore added, "Because I'm Alexander Sinclair's uncle."

Kenneth froze, his eyes wide open as he looked at Theodore. He was beginning to wonder if he needed to have his ears checked.

"You're Alexander Sinclair's uncle?"

Theodore nodded. "And the current head of the Sinclair family."

Kenneth's jaw dropped.

"So no, I won't be giving you an autograph. And that's because you just confessed to my wife. Strictly speaking, that makes you my rival in love."

Kenneth's knees went weak, and he stumbled back a couple of steps. Had he just become the love rival of the head of the Sinclair family?
