Cheated Once Cherished Forever: The Billionaire's Bride novel Chapter 159

Alexander's tone was completely flat and cold. It was devoid of any extra emotion, making it chilling to hear.

"Mr. Sinclair..."

"Hello, Mr. Sinclair!"

The few men nervously greeted Alexander.

"You're all fired," he said in a voice that was both soft and cold.

The men's faces drained of color. Panic flashed in their eyes as they scrambled to plead, "Mr. Sinclair, we were wrong! We spoke out of turn. But still, these rumors didn't come from us!"

"We were just passing on what we heard from others!"

"Please forgive us, Mr. Sinclair! It really wasn't us..."

Alexander cast a cold glance over the group. At this moment, his gaze was like the scythe of the Grim Reaper—whoever it fell upon was as good as dead.

He let out a disdainful laugh. "Did I ask if these rumors originated from you all? I'm just telling you the outcome."

His gaze turned icy, as if filled with hostility.

Some of the men were already married, but at that moment, they stood trembling before Alexander.

He continued, "Now, I'm giving you two options. First, I can blacklist you across the entire industry. Or you'll go to every department and state your apologies to Ms. Moore, then resign on your own. All while doing frog jumps. You have five seconds to decide."

Their knees nearly gave out. They exchanged terrified looks, their fingers clutching their wrinkled shirts. The pantry was so silent that one could even hear them gulping.

Alexander began the countdown.

"Five."

When the first number dropped, the man at the front instinctively took a half step back, his leather shoe squeaking softly against the floor.

"Four."

Alexander tapped his finger on the table. It sounded like a gavel, each beat striking intensely.

"Three."

Alexander lifted his gaze, his eyes landing on the man who was retreating. His brow arched, but he didn't speak. His expression seemed to ask, "Have you made up your mind?"

The man's face turned pale instantly. His lips moved slightly, but no sound came out.

"Two!" This time, Alexander's voice had lost all warmth. It was sharp like an icicle piercing one's heart.

At this moment, a small voice broke the dreadful silence.

"I'll... I'll choose the second one..."

The moment he spoke, the others quickly followed.

"I'll also go with the second option."

"I'll choose the second one."

Being blacklisted by the Sinclair family was as good as death. They weren't that stupid.

Their moment of hesitation had only been out of reluctance. After all, the company's benefits were far superior to what was available outside, and finding a new job wasn't easy—especially when they still needed to earn money to support their families.

"What personal grudge would I have against you? I'm firing you simply because I don't like you," Alexander said coldly.

Kenneth, trembling in anger, pointed at Alexander. "It's because you like Isabella too! But you've got it wrong! Your real rival is your uncle! Oh, right, you wouldn't dare compete with him for a woman, so you're taking out your frustration on me instead—"

Alexander suddenly stepped forward and punched Kenneth square in the face.

Caught off guard, Kenneth was sent flying into the bar counter. Blood immediately trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Isabella let out a startled gasp.

Kenneth snapped out of it and pointed at Alexander. "Y-You dare hit me?"

Alexander rolled his wrist and looked down at him with a mocking expression. "You're a nobody. Why wouldn't I dare hit you?"

Kenneth swung his fist, ready to charge, but Isabella cried out anxiously, "Stop it! Kenneth! Alexander!"

Just then, several security guards rushed in from outside and immediately pinned Kenneth to the ground.

"Let go of me! What do you think you're doing?"

"Throw him out," Alexander said coldly.

In the end, Kenneth was carried out by the guards.

The pantry grew quiet.

Isabella followed Alexander back to his office. Given what had just happened, no one was in a particularly good mood.

After stepping out of the elevator, Alexander suddenly turned around and glared at her. "Isabella Moore, are you an idiot?"
