Cheated Once Cherished Forever: The Billionaire's Bride novel Chapter 94

Isabella replied, "Coffee would be good."

Emma rose to her feet and was about to make Isabella a cup of coffee when Theodore said, "Get her a cup of warm milk."

Upon hearing that, Isabella furrowed her brows. In a displeased voice, she protested, "Coffee, please. I don't want to have milk."

Theodore insisted in an unnegotiable tone, "You haven't had anything to eat, so you should have some milk. It'll reenergize you."

Emma disregarded Isabella's protests. She left the room with a grin on her face, then returned with a cup of warm milk for Isabella a short while later.

Even though she never liked the taste of milk, Isabella had no choice but to drink it with her eyes closed as Theodore watched on.

In the afternoon, he had yet another meeting. When she got bored waiting in the office, she decided to go shopping at the mall across the street.

The top business companies in Solara were located around this area, and the streets were buzzing with traffic. Anyone who wanted to get to the mall across the street had to take the underground passageway.

The underground passageway was brightly lit and artistically designed. Its walls and ceilings were filled with all kinds of graffiti that usually attracted many people to come by for photos. But because it was the weekend, there was not a single person in the passageway.

As Isabella walked through the passageway, all she could hear was her own footsteps. As she continued walking, the lonely sound of her footsteps seemed to begin echoing back to her. She paused, then realized that something was not right.

That wasn't the sound of her own footsteps. Rather, there was someone behind her. Moreover, it wasn't just the sound of one set of footsteps…

She wondered if she was just being sensitive. Suddenly, her hair stood on end.

Instinctively, she picked up the pace, only to realize that she wasn't imagining things. The moment she picked up her pace, the footsteps behind her followed suit. They were coming for her!

Instantly, her heart sank, and her palms turned clammy. Too afraid to look back, she balled her hands into fists and charged clumsily toward the other end of the passageway.

The clacking of her heels against the tiles turned sharp, meshing with the sounds of two sets of footsteps approaching from behind her. Together, they sounded like a relentless drumbeat of doom echoing through the empty passageway.

Isabella felt for her phone, planning to give Theodore a call.

"Behave yourself. Quit squirming," the man with the hoarse voice warned. He bent forward and slipped into the car, then closed the door behind him.

They were by the side of the street where many people came and went. People noticed her being pushed into the van earlier, but they might not have realized what was happening.

While Isabella wanted to scream, she realized that she couldn't make a sound. Her entire body felt so limp that all she could do was lean against the side of the vehicle and watch as the scenery outside zoomed past them.

The building that Theodore was in vanished in her line of sight. The vehicle traveled steadily at high speed. Clearly, these people were familiar with this route.

She forced herself to remain calm and memorize the route. However, the ether she inhaled was still taking effect. Her eyelids felt heavier and heavier.

The last thing she saw was the van turning into a remote alley. The dim, yellow streetlights shimmered slightly, watching this silent abduction like pairs of emotionless eyes.

Who could it be?

Before Isabella lost consciousness, Margaret came to mind…
