Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 73

Harrison replied quietly, "I found someone with the exact same name, but the intel might be flawed. I need to investigate further."

"What do you mean?" Lucas's gaze instantly sharpened, locking onto him.

Harrison quickly handed over his tablet. "The Vanessa Grant I found is the heiress to Grant Enterprises, graduated from a prestigious private university here in Sterling City... I just haven't been able to find a photo of her yet."

There were plenty of people in the world who shared the same name.

Maybe it was just a coincidence.

Lucas lowered his eyes, indifferently skimming the profile on the screen.

Her height and physical traits matched the woman in his memories, but this family background was worlds apart from the Vanessa he knew.

Vanessa had told him she grew up relying solely on her grandfather, and after he passed, she was completely alone.

If she really were a billionaire heiress, she never would have been living in a run-down apartment in the old district, and they never would have met.

Lucas tossed the tablet back, massaging his throbbing temples, his tone frigid. "Keep digging. No matter what, you have to find her."

Harrison hesitated for a moment before cautiously probing, "Mr. Lowery, are you looking for Vanessa... to ask for her forgiveness, or to get revenge?"

If it was the latter, he wanted no part in helping him be the bad guy.

Lucas's eyes turned glacial, dark and filled with a biting chill. "What are you trying to say?"

Under that oppressive stare, Harrison braced himself, speaking as if he were preparing for a firing squad. "I just think that Vanessa was with you for three years and gave you her whole heart... You were the one who broke her heart. She's completely innocent and doesn't deserve to be treated this way."

"You think I'm looking for her to get revenge?"

Harrison instantly nodded like a bobblehead.

Lucas didn't say another word. He slowly turned his head to look out the window, a storm of incomprehensible emotions rolling in his pitch-black eyes.

She was the girl who had stayed by his side when he had absolutely nothing.

Even if she really did sell off his company's shares, he had never once considered retaliating against her.
