14. VALIANT

It was supposed to be my lucky day.

I lost the case even though I wore my lucky tie. All the hard work down the fucking drain due to one stupid thing I missed. To make it even worse, I had to find out from a co–worker that Daisy had been caught on camera with Alexander,

Paperwork waited for me when I walked out of court. I had to take care of it before I could leave.

It was almost midnight when I entered the penthouse.

My tie had been removed during the drive home. I lost my jacket on the way up in the elevator and was busy unbuttoning the top buttons of my shirt as I walked through the dark penthouse.

There was no lingering smell of a cooked meal waiting for me like there usually was.

My brows dipped into a frown when I entered my bedroom.

I flicked on the light and dropped my case down on the desk in the corner. Taking a seat on the edge of the bed, I kicked off my shoes and pulled off my socks.

A low sound made me pause.

Tilting my head to the side, I held my breath to listen carefully.

A few minutes passed before I heard it again.

I hurried out of the room into the room across from mine. The fairy lights were on, but the bed was empty.

Following the sounds into the nest, I paused by the bed for a few seconds before I moved the curtains aside.

Daisy was in the middle of the bed, half on his side. One hand clutching the sheet tightly and the other clutching the pillow above her. The sheets had been kicked down to the bottom of the bed.

My eyes locked on the drenched collar of the sleep shirt she wore.

Another whimper fell from her parted lips. She rolled onto her back, letting out a soft sob.

Letting go of the curtain, I moved to the side of the bed where the curtains were parted and leaned down.

“Daisy,” I called softly. “Wake up petal, you’re having a bad dream.”

I moved sweaty strands of hair from her face and leaned down further.

“Daisy-”

My sentence was cut off by a fist connecting with my chin. I stumbled backward with a curse.

“Valiant? I’m sorry!” Daisy scrambled off the bed and pressed a shaky hand to the spot she punched. “Are you okay?”

“A bit surprised.” I gripped her wrist to pull her hand away. “Are you okay?”

She swallowed loudly. “Just a bad dream.”

“Because of what happened today?” I asked softly.

She turned away but gave me a slight nod. “Why are you up so late?”

I watched as she tugged on the sheets, pulling them back up the bed.

“I just got in,” I told her softly.

“Oh.” Daisy straightened and turned around to face me. “Did you eat? I can make you something to eat.”

My eyes narrowed. “You don’t want to go back to sleep do you?”

She shook her head.

“I grabbed something to eat on my way home.” I turned towards the door. “But since you don’t want to go to sleep you can join me in my room to watch a movie or something?”

Her teeth sunk into her bottom lip as she thought over my question. I smiled at her and then walked away, leaving her to make up her mind.

Entering my room once again, I walked straight to the bathroom to take a shower. Once I was done, I dried my body and then wrapped the towel around my waist.

My steps faltered when I entered my room and saw Daisy sitting on the edge of the bed. I was sure that she was going to refuse.

Our eyes locked for a few seconds and then hers dropped to my chest. I held still, allowing her to take me in.

“You’re blushing.” I smirked at her. “Liking what you’re seeing so far, petal?”

To my surprise, she nodded.

“Drop the towel.”

“Excuse me?”

“Since you’re putting yourself on display, I want to see all of you.” She lifted her chin. “That is unless you’re too shy.”

“I’m not shy,” I growled, tugging the towel around my waist loose. “I just don’t want to scare you.”

“Why will you scare me?”

“Elias told me how you reacted when you saw my toy collection.”

The colour in her cheeks deepened, but she didn’t back down as I expected.

Fine, if you want to play this game omega, we’ll play.

I dropped my towel. It was nearly impossible to stay still and stop my body from reacting to her warm gaze on my skin. My cock twitched when she sucked her bottom lip into her mouth.

A low gasp fell from her lips. “It moved!”

I laughed. Bending, I picked up my towel to dry my hair as I walked over to the bed. I wished I knew what she

“Do you use your toys a lot?” Daisy asked almost shyly.

Taking a seat next to her, I studied her face silently for a few seconds. There was curiosity and some heat, but no fear. Elias had told me that Daisy confirmed that she was a virgin and that should have been a big enough reason for me to stay away from her.

The last thing I wanted was to start something that might end up hurting her or us. I only wanted her to stay with us because I thought that if she showed interest in Elias it might give him some of his confidence back.

But that was before I started spending time with her.

“Daisy-”

“I kind of propositioned Alexander today,” she interrupted me. “He turned me down, but when we got home he told me that maybe we could have some fun.”

“Okay…”

“This is as close to having a relationship as I’ll get,” she muttered. “I’ve only ever imagined doing things with boys because I knew that I would never experience it in real life, but I can now.”

“So, you’re telling me that you want to take advantage of the opportunity by making your fantasies become a reality?”

She nodded.

“Okay.”

“You don’t want to.” She stood, keeping her eyes averted. “It’s okay. You probably already have a girlfriend.”

I gripped her wrist and jerked her towards me. The moment she slammed into my chest, I twisted us so she landed on her back on the bed and I hovered over her.

Wide eyes locked with mine.

“I don’t have a girlfriend,” I told her. “Secondly, if you want to go through with this you need to know that you’ll be living out your fantasy with three men“.

“I know,” she whispered. “You’re a pack.”

My lips twitched. “Smart girl. You’re the first and only omega to ever realize that it’s all of us or none of us at all.”

Daisy’s eyes lowered to my chest.

“Have you talked to Elias about this?” I asked her.

She shook her head. “He’s been sleeping all day.”

“Migraine?” That would explain why he hadn’t cooked. “Have you eaten dinner?”

She swallowed. “I made some toast for Elias but he didn’t want to eat it so I ate it.”

“Are you still hungry?”

Daisy didn’t answer me. I tensed when her hands brushed my hips. Shaky fingers brushed agent my den, higher and higher. They paused at my ribs and then slid to my back and lowered again before they stopped just shy of my ass.

“For a shy virgin, this is not the reaction I was expecting,” I muttered,

“I’m not shy,” Daisy argued,

“Really? A little birdy told me that you wanted to run for the hills when you found my toys I raised an estaron, daring her to argue with me.

“I didn’t know if they were dirty! What If you used them and just threw them in the closet, forgetting, like you did with your clothes?”

“The first rule to owning toys is to wash them as soon as you’re done using them.” My eyes darted over her face, “I guess now I don’t have to ask if you owe any toys.”

“Why do you have so many toys?” she asked.

I sighed. “Why do you ask so many questions?”

She shrugged.

“Do you want some popcorn to eat while we watch a movie?”

I leaned up on one elbow, making her hands slip away and her eyes drop lower.

“Want me to move higher so you can get a better look?”

It looked like she was actually considering it which made me laugh. We needed to make sure that all of us were on board with this before things went any further.

“I’ll go make us some popcorn,” I told her as I stood. “Why don’t you choose a movie for us to watch?”

A soft sigh fell from her lips but she said nothing.

I walked over to my closet and pulled out a pair of boxers. After pulling them on, I looked back at her to find her still in the same position and staring up at the ceiling.

She was different than the usual omegas we met. I had a feeling that Daisy was going to be good for all of us.
