Chapter 104 A Powerful Arrival
“Call the police.”
Quinn stood straight, her voice icy.
“Lucy, call them.”
Lucy immediately pulled out her phone.
“Got it.”
Harold hurried to stop them.
“Miss Lane, calm down. This is a family matter. There’s no need to make it bigger.”

“Harold.” Quinn said coldly, “I have nothing to do with you. Is it really that hard to say that out loud?”
“Nothing to do with him?” Ethan sneered. “Then why were you entering hotels together and staying for hours? You think I don’t have evidence?”
Quinn felt anger, frustration, and humiliation knotting together in her chest.
When she spoke again, her voice trembled slightly.
“Yes, Harold and I met twice at a hotel.”
“You finally admitted it?” Ethan barked.
Quinn snapped. “Will you let me finish?”
She took a steady breath. The crowd had gone quiet.
“Every time we met, the hotel room door stayed open the entire time. Hotels have security cameras. Anyone can check.”
“That explains why there’s no footage of you two being intimate, “Ethan said coldly. “You probably realized someone was watching and prepared ahead of time.”
“So even now you won’t admit it?” Lydia cried. “Harold, I really misjudged you.”
Harold glanced at Quinn before speaking.
“Why are you all so unwilling to trust me? You even had people following me. You say you misjudged me, but don’t you think it hurts to be doubted like this?”
Quinn added calmly, “Mrs. Whitman, I’ve known Harold less than seven days. You can look through every text and call record I have.”
Ethan refused to believe it.
“Then why were you meeting my father? I don’t believe you have any work connection.”

“I’m a jewelry designer,” Quinn said. “Through a friend’s introduction, your father asked me to design a piece of jewelry for your mother. It was meant to be an anniversary gift.”
Lydia immediately turned to Harold. “I… is that true?”
Harold sighed softly. “We’ve been married for decades. You know how I treat you. How could you still doubt me?”
Lucy was furious. “You owe her an apology. Right now.”
Ethan was not that easy to convince.
But he also did not want to push the matter further in front of his mother. The crowd clearly did not believe it either.
Most of them had already decided Quinn was the mistress.
Quinn felt humiliated, yet she had no idea what else she could do to clear her name. The standoff conţinued.
Then Lucy suddenly shouted.
“Julian!”
Quinn had grown used to hearing that word from Lucy. Her head lifted automatically. Through the crowd, she saw Julian.
He was still dressed in a black suit. His long stride carried a calm authority. But today there was also a trace of urgency in his movement.
The moment Quinn saw him, something inside her settled.
Her racing heart slowed. The anger, the panic, the humiliation. All of it eased.
No one knew who Julian was. Yet the moment people saw him, they instinctively grew quiet.
The crowd parted without thinking, leaving a path for him.
Julian carried a powerful presence. The noisy hotel lobby fell silent.
Not a single person dared to speak.
Everyone watched as he walked straight to Quinn.
He looked at her. “Are you okay?” he asked.
His voice was cool, but the concern inside it was clear.
Quinn shook her head slightly. She wanted to say she was fine.
But her eyes suddenly filled with tears. They rolled down before she could stop them.

She quickly lowered her head and wiped them away.
“I’m fine,” she said hoarsely.
Julian’s gaze rested on her for a long moment.
Then he turned toward Harold. Harold finally recovered from his shock.
Wait, how does she know Julian?
And judging from the way Julian had just looked at her, their relationship seemed far from ordinary.
Harold hurried forward and reached out a hand.
“Mr. Sterling, I’m Harold Whitman. I’m not sure if you remember me.”
His hand hung in the air. Julian did not move.
He only gave Harold a cold glance. Sweat instantly formed on Harold’s back.
“Sorry you had to see this,” Harold said awkwardly.
Julian ignored him. His gaze shifted to Lydia.
“You must be Mrs. Whitman,” Julian said.
His voice was icy. Lydia did not know Julian.
But after years of standing beside Harold at business events, she had seen enough powerful people to recognize one instantly.
The man in front of her was strikingly handsome. His bearing was elegant and commanding.
Even without the face, the aura alone told her he was someone powerful and wealthy.
She could sense that he had some connection to Quinn. The way he had looked at Quinn earlier was unmistakable.
“I’m Harold’s wife,” she said.
Julian nodded slightly. “Your suspicion is correct,” he said calmly. “Harold has been unfaithful.”
