His driver and bodyguards followed close behind. Julian carried her into the backseat and told the driver to turn the heat all the way up.

The car warmed up quickly, and Quinn’s stiff, cold body slowly thawed.

Her eyes flickered, and when they focused on Julian, her eyes reddened again.

Julian was torn between heartache and anger.

But his anger wasn’t at her for disappearing–it was at her for not taking care of herself.

“What happened to make you punish yourself like this? Don’t you know how cold it is out there? Did you want to freeze?”

Quinn came back to her senses and realized she was still in his arms.

She immediately struggled to get free.

Julian was still frustrated. “Don’t move! I’m not letting you do whatever you want anymore. You’re impossible!”

“Let me go!” Quinn cried, tears streaming down her face. “You jerk, Julian!”

Julian nearly lost his temper. She still has the energy to yell at me?

He held her wrists gently but firmly and wiped her tears. “Quinn… you really know how to drive me crazy.”

He was completely helpless when it came to her.

Quinn struggled even harder.

Fearing she would hurt herself, Julian finally let her go.

Quinn scrambled to the far edge of the seat and reached for the door.

“Are you out of your mind?” Julian’s heart dropped. He yanked her back. “We’re moving!”

Thank goodness the doors were automatically locked–what she’d just done could’ve gotten her killed.

“Get away from me!” Quinn pushed him hard, her voice shaking with emotion. “You liar!”

Julian had already sensed something was off. Her words confirmed his suspicion. “What’s going on? When have I lied to you?”

Quinn refused to even look at him.

She had no idea why Julian would do this to her.

Julian sighed quietly. He didn’t dare come closer or push her further.

“Can you at least explain this to me? You stood me up out of nowhere and called me a liar. I’m confused too, you know.”

Quinn laughed bitterly to herself.

Julian has everything–good looks, wealth, power… and he is an incredible actor too.

The movie industry is really missing out.
