Chapter 270 I’m Sorry
*I..”
It never once crossed Quinn’s mind that Rosalie would lie about something like this.
It was the kind of lie that could be exposed so easily.
She even talked about meeting his parents–how could anyone fake that?
So I believed her without a second thought.
But from Julian’s tone… could the man Rosalie had been talking about not be him?
That didn’t make any sense.
How many Julian Sterlings could there be, head of the Sterling family in Lakeshore City?
“What’s really going on?” Quinn stared at him, confused. “That’s… that’s exactly what she told me.”

“I don’t care what she said. I don’t know her. That’s the truth,” Julian said. “Why would I lie to you? I’ve never lied in my
life.”
Julian was growing frustrated and hurt all over again.
He never could’ve guessed this was why she’d run off and hidden alone.
Then it hit Quinn.
Julian has no reason to lie. He is far above that.
So what is really going on here?
“But why would she say that?”
“How should I know? I’ve never even met her!” Julian said. “So you believed her, not me? Do you really think I’d just fall for someone randomly? A long–distance relationship? That’s impossible. I’ve only ever liked one person in my life. I told you that, didn’t I?”
Quinn flustered, snapping at him. “How can you even say something like that right now?!”
“I’m only telling the truth,” Julian said, sounding even more wronged.
“Wait… what time is it?”
Quinn suddenly remembered Rosalie saying she was meeting Julian this afternoon.
“It’s past two,” Julian said. “Do you have any idea how long you sat out there in the cold?”
“It’s that late already?”
Julian hadn’t started looking for her right away. But when he called and she didn’t answer, he panicked.

Chapter 270 Fm Sorry
Finished
According to Rosalie, she should have been with Julian at this very moment.
But here he was, right next to her.
Quinn couldn’t help asking. “You really don’t know her?”
“I don’t.” Julian said. “Do you want me to confront her with you?”
Quinn was dumbfounded. “But she sounded so sure. Why would she lie about this?”
“I don’t know, and I don’t care. But whoever she’s talking about, it isn’t me. If you still don’t believe me, you can stick to me 24/7 from now on. See if I contact her at all.”
By now, Quinn had calmed down.
The scale of trust in her heart had tipped sharply toward Julian.
But she still couldn’t understand why Rosalie would lie.
When Quinn fell silent, Julian felt a sting of hurt.
But then he thought about how she’d reacted earlier, and his heart softened again.
Now that he knew the whole story, he realized her pain had all been because of him.
In a way, she’d cared enough to lose her mind when she thought he’d betrayed her.
That only proved she had feelings for him too.
His hurt faded away in an instant.
He spoke softly, “Quinn… trust me, okay?”
Quinn stared at him, still dazed.
She never could’ve imagined things would turn out like this.
She lifted her eyes to his.
Julian’s gaze was deep, but this time she could see right into it–all warmth, all care.
Quinn sniffled and whispered, “I’m sorry…”
