Chapter 294 Public Humiliation
“Wait!”
Quinn looked over.
Rosalie had called out on impulse–she couldn’t just let Quinn leave like that.
She thought for a second, then snapped, “Quinn, were you already seeing this guy before you divorced him?”
She turned to Chase. “Chase, haven’t you ever wondered why she insisted on leaving you?”
Chase had his pride, like any man.
If he stayed quiet while she said this in public, everyone would laugh at him.
He looked at Quinn. “Quinn, don’t you owe me an explanation? What’s your relationship with him?”
Quinn finally understood why Rosalie had called Chase over.
She thought she could show up with him and catch her in some kind of affair.
It was ridiculous.
People nearby were whispering, curious and judgmental.
Stuff like this was messy, and no one wanted to be associated with it.
Jess was about to explain, but Quinn held him back gently.
Then she spoke, “That’s rich. You’re the last person who gets to talk.”
The crowd blinked in confusion,
What is going on here?
Isn’t this the ex–husband confronting her over another guy?
Why is she accusing him of something?
This drama is getting good.
Rosalie suddenly felt a flicker of guilt.
Chase said, “Quinn, I’m sorry about how things were before-”
“I don’t want your apology,” Quinn cut in. “I don’t accept it. I have no idea what gives you the right to question me. I was married to you for three years, and you were in love with the woman standing right next to you the whole time. Now that we’re divorced, shouldn’t you be chasing her instead of hanging around
me?”
The onlookers finally caught on.

Chapter 294 Public Humiliation
That’s what she meant by “You’re the last person who gets to talk.
This guy was emotionally unfaithful, at the very least.
How dare he confront her?
Quinn went on, “Jess and I are just friends. Nothing more.”
Rosalie heard the whispers turning against her and panicked.
“Just friends? How can you prove that? You could’ve been cheating this whole time!”
Even if people were staring at her with disapproval, she wasn’t about to let Quinn off easy.
Sure enough, the crowd shifted their eyes back to Quinn.
Maybe neither of them is any better.
Then Jess spoke, and his words silenced the whole room.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t like women.”
Everyone froze–Rosalie included.
Wait, what?
Quinn knew Jess rarely talked about his sexuality openly.
A lot of people still didn’t understand it.
But he was doing it for her.
She quickly said, “Jess, you don’t have to-”
“It’s fine. I’m not ashamed. I just won’t let anyone lie about you.”
Now everyone got it.
When they said friends, they actually meant friends.
This guy is into men.
And here is the husband, showing up with his lover to accuse his ex–wife of cheating. Total shamelessness.
“I’ve never seen anything like this.”
“Yeah, he’s the one who’s messed up, projecting onto her.”
“I hate people like that homewrecker.”
Rosalie’s face burned as the whispers circled her.
She didn’t think of herself as the other woman, but she knew full well she’d played an ugly part in Quinn’s
