Chapter 307 Verbal Duel
Rosalie simply couldn’t hold it in.
Truth be told, if it had been any other woman, she wouldn’t have reacted this strongly.
But why did it have to be Quinn?
She couldn’t accept it.
When she reached the restaurant, Rosalie waited outside.
She wouldn’t believe Chase’s words until she saw them together with her own eyes.
Meanwhile, inside the private dining room, Julian, Quinn, and Jess were still eating.
Fimshed
Jess was dying to leave. Even though Julian and Quinn weren’t officially together yet, he still felt like a third wheel.
The way they kept glancing at each other practically screamed couple energy.
It made Jess feel completely unnecessary.
Still, the three of them were getting along surprisingly well.
Jess had thought that a man like Julian, no matter how much he liked Quinn, would still carry himself with arrogance.
It only made sense that he’d treat her well.
But he probably wouldn’t be all that easygoing toward her friends.
To his surprise, Julian treated Jess just like any other friend, chatting casually and even joking around.
Jess had met plenty of men in his life.
He had to admit, Julian had the undeniable charm of a mature, confident man.
On top of that, he was incredibly handsome. Sitting next to Quinn, the two looked perfectly matched, like they were made for each other.
When they smiled at each other and talked, Jess secretly snapped a photo and sent it to their small group
chat.
Lucy freaked out with a string of excited messages, screaming that her favorite ship was sailing.
Jess decided in that moment that he was officially on board with this couple.
They were just too sweet, too heart–fluttering to watch.
Jess really didn’t want to intrude, but Quinn insisted he stay.

Luckily, he got a phone call right then. He made up an excuse about work and finally managed to leave.
Once he stepped outside, he glanced over by chance and spotted Rosalie.
She was still sitting in her car, parked right next to the restaurant. Jess saw her immediately through the front windshield.
After thinking for a second, Jess walked over and tapped on her window.
Rosalie recognized him at once.
This was the guy who’d said he was Quinn’s friend when she’d gone to return that item.
She rolled the window down, her eyes full of disdain. “You?”
Jess smiled. “What a coincidence, Miss Lane. Are you here for dinner? Why not go inside?”
Rosalie snapped, “What’s it to you? Don’t touch my car. You’re disgusting.”
Jess‘,expression darkened for a moment.
But he quickly smiled again. “Love is love, whether it’s for someone of the same gender or not. Sincere feelings are never disgusting. You’re just twisted inside, so you see filth everywhere.”
“What did you say?” Rosalie was already in a terrible mood. “Wh

do you think you are to lecture me?”
What gives you the right to talk to me like that?”
“Quinn is beautiful, elegant, and kind,” he said. “How could she possibly have a sister like you? Oh, right— you’re not blood–related. It’s just in your genes. Can’t be helped.”
Rosalie flew into a rage. “What nonsense are you talking about?”
“Nonsense? It’s the truth,” Jess said, looking her over. “You’re not here for dinner, then. You’re waiting for someone. Waiting for Quinn? Are you here to apologize to her?”
Rosalie had never met a more insufferable man in her life.
