Chapter 312 His Unwavering Trust
She glanced down at the car’s interior.
It was probably the original design–Julian wasn’t the type to decorate his car.
“I never did any of that,” she said quietly.

The whole thing about dating young and running around with guys was completely made up by Rosalie.
But she wasn’t sure how to explain it, or if Julian would even believe her.
If he chose to trust Rosalie, nothing she said would matter.
“I know you didn’t,” Julian said.
Quinn looked up at him, wide with surprise.
Julian met her gaze. “Is it really that strange? Would I trust a stranger over you?”
“You don’t believe her?”
“Why would I?” he said. “Even if I knew her, I’d still pick your side over hers.”
Quinn fell silent.
Julian added softly, “Wouldn’t I be pretty pathetic if I didn’t even know what kind of person the one I like is?”
Quinn smiled at last.
“I never dated anyone
in
School” she said. “All those stories… she and her friends just made them up.”
“I know,” Julian said. “There’s only one thing I really regret now.”
“What’s that?”
“I’m a few years older than you. Even if we went back to our school days, I probably couldn’t have dated you back then.”
Quinn was caught between laughing and blushing at his unexpected words.
Julian acted completely casual, as if he hadn’t just said something incredibly sweet.
“Rosalie is being completely unreasonable,” he said. “Don’t pay her any mind from now on.”
Between the gossip, the lies, and everything else she’d done to Quinn, Julian disliked her intensely.
“I wasn’t planning to,” Quinn said.
Rosalie was the one who kept seeking her out, making unreasonable demands–like pushing her to remarry Chase.

“Good.” Julian said. “She’s got bad intentions. Don’t let anything she says bother you,”
“I won’t.”
Julian murmured, “Good girl.”
Quinn blushed again.
Julian hated to send her home so soon, but he’d just returned and had urgent matters to handle.
As the head of a major corporation, he wasn’t just building his own wealth–he carried serious responsibilities.
After dropping her off, he headed straight back to the office..
When Quinn stepped inside her quiet, empty house, she felt a sudden wave of loneliness.
But she took a deep breath and told herself, “Come on, Quinn, you’ve got this.”
She’d been busy with design work and helping Lucy run errands lately, so she hadn’t had time to tidy up.
She decided to spend the day deep–cleaning and then go buy Christmas supplies to get ready for the holiday.
Time flew by when she kept herself busy.
The place was already spotless–Julian had sent someone to clean everything thoroughly before.
The renovation crew had also left it neat.
But Quinn cleaned it all over again anyway.
By the time she finished, she collapsed onto the couch, too worn out to move.
She went to bed early that night.
She’d made plans: on Christmas Eve, she would go all out with shopping.
Even if she were spending the holiday alone, she was going to do it properly.
In the afternoon, she would drop off some gifts and treats for Adele.
She’d also picked out a special present for her.
On Christmas Day, she planned to stay home, decorate the place, wrap small gifts, bake cookies, and watch
movies.
When she woke up, it was already past nine.
