Chapter 316 A Peacock Showing Off
Julian kept it simple and made two dishes and a soup–plenty for the two of them.
After lunch, he suggested, “Want to watch a movie?”
Quinn said, “We don’t have a setup here, so we can’t.”

“Let’s go to the theater,” Julian said. “I’ve heard that when you’re pursuing someone, you go on dates. Watching a movie is part of that.”
Quinn’s ears turned warm. “O–okay.”
She didn’t expect they’d run into someone they knew there, though.
Like any regular couple, Julian drove her to the nearby cinema.
On the way, he made a quick call, then asked Quinn, “Should I book the whole theater?”
“Book the whole thing?” Quinn blinked, then shook her head. “Probably not necessary.”
Julian spoke into the phone, “Never mind.”
After he hung up, Quinn realized what she’d just agreed to. “Is it really okay not to?”
She hadn’t thought much of it at first, but it hit her now.
Ordinary people wouldn’t even consider renting out an entire theater.
But Julian was high–profile, always with bodyguards around.
His safety was clearly a big concern.
Might it be problematic if they didn’t have the place to themselves?
“It’s fine,” Julian said. “If you don’t want to, we won’t.”
“Won’t it be inconvenient? Are you sure it’s safe?”
Julian finally understood what was worrying her.
He smiled. “I’m not that special, not that fragile. I live a normal life too. Going to the movies won’t be a problem at all.”
Quinn relaxed.
On the way to the cinema, Julian steered with one hand and held hers with the other.
As they approached an intersection, the car ahead suddenly braked hard. Julian let go of her hand for a second to steady the car, then reached for her again right away.
“Just focus on driving,” Quinn said.

“Don’t worry.” He laced their fingers together. “I’m a good driver. Besides cars, I can fly helicopters and pilot yachts too…”
He trailed off and laughed first.
Quinn was listening curiously. “What’s so funny?”
Julian said, “At a party a while back, a friend brought his crush. Zeke said he was acting like a peacock showing off his feathers for her. I just realized I’m doing the same thing–trying to show you every part of
me.”
Quinn laughed too.
Julian glanced at her. “Get to know me slowly. I won’t let you down.”
Quinn whispered, “Okay.”
After a moment, she added, “Then you can get to know me slowly too.”
Julian said, “I think… I already know you pretty well.”
Quinn was confused. “Really? We haven’t spent that much time together.”
“I’ve seen you twice before, a long time ago. You just didn’t know it.”
Quinn frowned. “That time on the yacht… wait, wasn’t Adele’s place our first meeting?”
“No.” Julian turned into the mall’s underground parking gar
“That was the third time.”
Quinn stared. “Third?”
It was close to the holiday, so everyone was off. The mall was packed, and the garage was a nightmare for parking.
Julian circled twice and found nothing.
Quinn was still waiting for him to explain, but he deliberately dropped the subject.
It was nagging at her–she wanted to ask directly, but felt too shy.
In the end, Julian got out and handed the car over to one of his bodyguards.
